When we do such things in Europe, there are some differences: We use a foil under the concrete layer to avoid moisture rising, we put the reinforcing steel rods in a grid distance of 10 cm (4") instead of 20" as you did, we use small prefabricated concrete blocks to keep the lower layer of reinforcement rods off the ground, and we usually do 2 layers of reinforcement grid (in at about 8 cm vertical distance)...

you dont seem to use much steel in your jobs over there , here in australia we use rebar and mesh and it all sits up on plastic chairs to get it into the centre height of the slab

Watching in Scotland, we do this almost exactly the same only we use a membrane on the base before the hardcore to prevent rising damp & we don’t creat those break lines you guys do, it’s a better idea though means your don’t have to break out the full thing if an area begins to crumble

You guys need to invest in a pump. It would save a lot of time and extra work using that buggy. Out west we use pumps from the truck to the job site.

Should have added one more step to the bottom of that set of steps you poured last video that way the walk at the bottom of the steps would have been level with the patio ! Now if they put dirt to the top of the patio the dirt will be 8 inches below that section of walk that leads from the bottom of the steps to the patio ! Its to late now ,,,,but just a thought !

We snapped chalk line and make a wet screed by foundation and just follow the form on the other end. Takes practice but it's not super hard. And it's not perfect level! :)
