The reporters need to explain why this is being built: the Rapid Transit district consists of three counties including Contra Costa. The System was built with general obligation bonds backed by property tax increases (including last year's $3B measure, which raises taxes over the Prop 13 formula), and operations are funded through a permanent 1/2 cent sales tax in the county. In other words, East Contra Costa residents have been paying for a rail rapid transit system since the early 1960s that doesn't reach them. BART is unique in that its board is elected, so this service, so as the East County has grown in population, the voters have started to demand service for the taxes they pay.

San Francisco County is one of the original BART counties and property tax payers have been paying into BART since the beginning. Where are their line extensions? Contra Costa and Alameda got theirs.

Most of the people find it difficult to stand, you can take a poll, because they want to be productive during the journey. If you design properly you can create add more seats. And I thing you need to run few more extra trains during office hours. And add elevated car parking space, no of parking space is way to less.

Yes, but there are ways to make money. They can commercialize all the Bart station. If each Bart station got hotel, restaurant they can make lot of money just by renting space. They can construct apartments near to Bart. Lot of people would love to rent those apartments. I think they should open up for opportunities.
