BOOM. The ethic is antiChristian, in a nutshell. The Christian worldview is that you aren’t born a Christian and you need to repent/convert/commit. This creates a society that truly embraces tabula rasa because no one is perfect. Self improvement is worthy of applause because if your eternal metaphysical self can improve its position, your social, physical, financial self can improve as well. The Marxist assertions is that humans are worth the same (enlightenment) but they are not allowed to be equal because of birth into their social class. Neo Marxism added race and sexuality etc etc etc. but immutable characteristics can’t change and they then dig up slavery and gay bashing , decades and centuries old problems, to justify the neo Marxism world view. Weird that they start dragging in Islam... But it’s a notion of the immutability and the filthy pack animal tactics of far leftists that stands against that idea of progress within the individual. The far left has SO MANY losers (Rittenhouse shot three degenerates) that it is easier to tell them all that self improvement and turning away (repenting) from their path of failure will take them to their promised land of health, happiness and dignity. Timblr and Twitter is merely allowing all these Cluster B train wrecks to congregate just like 4chan, and they are purity spiralling so fast.... Protestant Christianity really cements a certain worldview and we are seeing what atheism can look like. Communism is always bad, atheism is a great vector for communists to abuse. 💡

As a black man who realized at 16 that society doesn't actually give a shit about the individual, the only solution to the problem that I could come up with is to live a solitary life outside of society. Yet everyone around me tried their damndest to get me to change my mind "think of all the people who love you you'd be leaving Behind!" and other such nonsense. The only reason I didn't pursue my goal is because living in America, after doing extensive research I realized just how hard it would be to truly "Live off the grid". So Instead I've tried my hardest to be as open minded to others life styles as possible and accept everyone. Fast forward to current year and now I'm looked at as a race-traitor simply for believing that not everything is the fault of white people. If I try to inject logic, reason and facts into a controversial current event I'm called a bigot or a coon. The worst part of it all is that due to current circumstances in my personal life, I would no longer be able to live outside of society on my own. So now I'm forced to sit idly by and be bombarded by people who say "black lives matter" yet would probably try to slit my throat if they heard me say something like all lives matter. I have friends who I no longer talk to simply because they are so extreme in their views on social justice, that they don't even want to hear counter-arguments. Everything I've once loved has been poisoned by this victim-hood ideology that by the looks of it, will be the death of democracy (If it ever actually really existed). I really don't understand those "fiction affect reality" people. Usually you dismantle those people with the argument they always can't answer: "okay, so if I draw a picture of me killing Mickey, am I a murder now, since for you, fiction affect reality?" or "If I kill someone in a video game, do videogame produce killers like the conservative senators in the 90's claimed and they're pro violence?" They usually dodge the question with "Yikes! False comparations!", but it's not a false comparation. It's the argument "fiction affecting reality" a selective one? If so, how selective it is? Why murder in fiction doesn't affect reality but sex in fiction does? What are the metrics? Those people instantly crumble when this argument is presented to them and run away, or call you names and act like you defend immoral acts.

I think that episode is the perfect example of how to treat shipping and other kinks. Let them enjoy what they enjoy as long as they are not hurting others. If you are uncomfortable with their shipping kinks, then pretend not to notice and move on in life. And to the person who enjoys shipping and other kinks, enjoy what you enjoy as long as you don't hurt others, but don't make it your own identity.

Pewds is white, rich and a gamer, therefore a heretic in her eyes; 120 years it would have been white, Protestant, and American, because New World American Protestantism is at odds with Old World Romanism; and he being heretic fulfills the maxim, "Keep no faith with heretics", which means summed up "X group is heretical, therefore all actions against them are just".

@M G If you dress, act, or otherwise think differently because your whole identity is 'being gay' then I would say it's pretty obvious that it affects one's character, and as NineS correctly calls out, there's lots of evidence to suggest that there are gay people who are gay purely because of childhood sexual abuse or because they were raised to be gay. Gay parents are significantly more likely to raise gay kids, even if the kids are adopted, that means not all gay people are born that way, some of them are made.
@TRENCHESandTREADS3 жыл бұрын
@M G You shouldn't? I haven't prescribed a value judgement to being gay, only that saying they're born that way is demonstrably false, at least in some cases. The reason it could matter to you though is if you care about people being corrupted by others. Someone who is born that way should be allowed to express themselves, but conversely shouldn't that also be the case for all the normal kids? They weren't born gay but their parents, or society, or an abuser made them so.
@elodin8573 жыл бұрын
@M G is it fair to try to drive them away from gayness though? Thats the point of contention. I would for sure say that a straight way of life is much better in average, you get to raise your own children and not be a biological dead end, with the other person that also made them, you have to deal with the complementarity of the sexes and can't be all promiscuous unless you're crazy rich.

Immutable definition: “unchanging over time or unable to be changed.” One may find this shocking, but people can stop being gay or trans, people do change sometimes, it happens more often than the media would have you think. I’m just pointing out that being gay or trans cannot therefore be an immutable characteristic as you literally can change those characteristics if you choose to. A gay man can decide that he is no longer gay or maybe his preference CHANGES over time, a trans woman can go back to being a man, these characteristics are literally not immutable.

The Sith are about as amoral as it gets, they believe in power and obtaining that power to achieve their goals, good and evil are irrelevant categories. Not to say the Sith are moral paragons, as I said before they don't even indulge in the notion, but they don't actually deal in absolutes or dogmatic moral hierarchies, its just about knowledge and power, the goals met by obtaining those will vary wildly from Sith to Sith. Regardless of how people behave at the end of the day it is assumed that people will behave in a way beyond self interest just because it would be considered 'right'. Regardless of whether a person religiously believes that their own system of morality is objective.... just like everybody else, it would seem that most systems almost universally evolved from a set of values that ended up benefiting a persons in group.

> fiction doesn't affect reality, if that were true then representation wouldn't matter Omg, those are two sentences I absolutely agree with XD I have said this before and will say it forever; representation doesn't matter because "representation is a luxury, not a need", being represented is great but you absolutely don't need it, like, how many countries in the world do these people think exist? I'm telling you, more than the ones represented in any media, I see some USians (aka, Americans) saying "we are representing Latinos, here, look at this group full of Latino people" and we see only Mexicans, like, that's Mexican representation, not Latino, they are unintendedly excluding people from _Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Belice, República Dominicana, etc._ And I have never seen people from these countries saying they need to be represented in media, they are just happy when the happen to be represented, just like Mexicans before the trend for representing us, because we as thirdworld people understand one simple fact, representation in media is useless because he have more important things and problems to focus on rather than if the description of any character includes us.

People complain about loli... but not shota (which is basically same) nor Vore (which is commonly considered weird even in Japan) or Guro (which is pretty much peak of how messed up you even can be with fictional art). I mean: I'm certainly not pro censorship of any of that but the way some people approach it seems very weird. You would have to assume they are a-ok with murder and cannibalism aaand consider that boys cannot be possibly molested (yet consider all priests molesters... of... boys?... eh??). When it was old, 90s puritans - at least they were more consistent where all of things above would be naturally attacked. But now? It's not even self-consistent without being highly selective and bigoted in very premise.
@ArbNiero3 жыл бұрын
Their entire argument is a non-starter. The whole argument hinges on the idea of "representation" being both valid and positive which I wholly disagree. I find the whole representation argument so stupid but I feel it never gets addressed, the framing of "representation is legitimate and/or good" is accepted and only the things around "representation" itself are addressed, at which point you are arguing from their perspective, just disagreeing to aspects of it. The science around this idea is very limited and dubious and what effect it does have (namely the mere-exposure effect) really only improves perceptions of groups that the person being influenced has had little to no exposure with. Because let's face it that's really all it's about, changing perceptions of so called "oppressed groups," a weird way of warping reality and culture through media. The thing is at this point homosexuality (this is a main target for "representation") is so wide spread you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that doesn't know someone that is homosexual. The same for minority groups (another big target for "representation") because seriously who tf has never met a black person or asian in their lives, the line of thinking is comical and almost racist on it's face. Definitely think this is a good idea for a video as I don't think it's a topic that is tackled hard enough and it's one of the main blind spots that these subversive types use to weasel into established media and start making arbitrary, sometimes major changes for the sake of "representation" rather than artistic vision or story significance.
@iCABALi3 жыл бұрын
Representation so doesn't matter. I don't watch "normal" TV as a rule. I've been thinking lately about the claim that the immutability of a trait is one of the key factors that makes it wrong to discriminate against it. It's something I used to believe, but I no longer agree. While it does make sense that it is unfair to judge a person for an aspect that they did not choose and cannot control, the degree to which it is wrong to discriminate for it seems entirely unrelated. For instance, if people had the ability to fully and perfectly switch their race at will, I couldn't argue that discrimination against race is suddenly less wrong. On the other hand, if race were 100% provably tied to behavior, it would be more justified (albeit still messy), whether race could be switched at will or not. In such a case, the act of switching race could have moral value ascribed to it, depending on what behaviors the different races produced. If people started keying red cars all across the country, the fact that you could simply paint your car a different color to avoid the discrimination wouldn't make the discriminatory act more justified to any degree. The option of choice seems irrelevant, unless we can ascribe some form of moral or societal value to that choice, such as with obesity or improper sexual acts. If someone were born with no sense of compassion and prone to erratic burst of violence, we may be more sympathetic to them than if they chose to act in such a way, but it would be just as valid to discriminate against this person regardless, given the inherent danger they pose to others. That's how I see it, anyway.
