Lenses definitely take getting used to! Everyone has different comfort levels- lenses can be fun, but if they're too scary for you, thats okay!

I wore contacts for a short amount of time. My eyes were not really the right shape for contacts to correct my eyesight completely, but my optometrist let me try them as I was on the edge of the cutoff. 😥My close vision was great, but I did go back to glasses when I realized that my subpar distance-sight bothered me. BUT, while I had contacts I wore aquamarine colored, because, why not!? I miss my jewel-colored eyes, but I can't justify the cost of plain/non-prescription contacts.

I was told years ago, (from my Optometrist) that contact lenses for me was a no go due to the way my eyes are. While I wish I didn't have to wear glasses, and that my vision was better than it is, I'm not going to put my eye health at risk. I'm happy to wear my glasses when I cosplay anyway. 🙂👍🏻

I want to try cosplay contacts but I'm just so scared of something going wrong with them aaaa, Makes me feel a bit invalid, especially if I want to eventually be a part of a cosplay contest or something. I totally understand your fear! It can be really intimidating to start cosplay when there's so many people out there with amazing skills. But most people in the community are super supportive- after all, we're just nerds playing dress up! I'm releasing a video later this week about one of the biggest, dumbest mistakes I've made with cosplay. I hope it'll make you laugh and feel less anxious!

Do not get contacts until your eye doctor opens up. Do not get them until you know it’s safe to use them. Your eye Cheerios are more important that cosplay accuracy

When I don't have contacts, I use photoshop to change my eye color! My favorite app is Adobe Photoshop Fix, it's free and simple to use on your phone :) Contacts are fun, but your health is more important!

Not at all, they're actually super comfortable! Like I say in the video, my eyes are sensitive. When I wear my normal contacts from my doctor, they're uncomfortable for most of the day. With the TTDEye lenses, I actually couldn't even feel them... it was magical

That's totally fair! When I don't feel like putting in contacts, I use photoshop to change my eye color :D or you can just cosplay with your natural color!
