You know what....I live in FNW Qld Australia where our temps in summer get over 40C (104F ) for weeks on end and our winters in the single C digits (but not for long).......and I love GREEN and TROPICAL...even though I have lived/born & bred out arid here for 69 years. My garden is chock full of golden cane palms ( that some coastal/tropical folk hate and get rid of🤣🤣), big evergreen trees, drought tolerant murraya hedges, crotons and cordylines. Not that I don't love or appreciate flowers and annuals, it's ALL about constant shade, shade, shade and green, green, or shades of green and foliage texture for me......but this channel is just so so relaxing to watch. I love roses in someone elses garden - but not mine - so tuning in here is like going to the movies and living someone elses life without doing any of the work.....and eating popcorn if I wish. BRAVO🤣🤣🤣🤣👌👌💕💕

My three favourites: 1. Aaron: Playin the blues+ superbells 2. Aaron: Gaura + Lemon Coral Sedum 3. Laura: Graceful grasses + Bubblegum supertunia. Laura, your experience with arrangment in pots and in the ground shows here. All your pots except one look fantastic. But Aarons dumbluck with those 2 pots as mentioned above is breathtaking. I think I wanted more of the unusual. I have terrible luck with Persian shield too. Its a perennial for me and they grow terribly if subjected to very dry condtions. They will crisp up even in full shade. I bought 2 and they are twigs. But they are soooo beautiful once you get it right.

I live in NE Mississippi with high heat and thick/ heavy humidity. To Aaron’s point, “not every plant works for every area,” Persian Shield does great for me in full sun. I have given up on petunias and verbena because they get so diseased and usually die by this time of the year. Our night time temps don’t really drop so there is not a reprieve period for them. We all have to find plants that work for our area. The pots look great!

Loved this video and enjoyed listening to both of you talking! I would like to comment on the sedum Aaron planted. I plant that every year because it looks fantastic wherever you put it. I live in MN and it takes the harsh heat as well as being a champ in the cooler weather. Watering is not issue...dry or wet it rocks! It roots and grows so fast!! I just take a snippit and stick in the areas I want it. It grows in lickity split. Looks great in window boxes, planters and ground. I winter over a plant and take starts from it in the spring. Adds a nice texture everywhere. When you live in MN that flexibility is a winner! 😊
