Should I plant the basil seeds around the tomato seeds, or plant the basil seeds around the tomato plant after it starts growing, or after I transplant it in the 5 gallon bucket?

I usually transplant the tomato seedlings and just throw the basil seeds around it. But not all of them germinate, or sometimes i get more basil than I need. it's easier to plant basil seedlings. That way, you know for sure how many plants you are going to have in the bucket.

Are all the different plants in the large tote requiring same light needs?

Their sunlight needs may vary. Some of them do need sunlight like the pepper and the eggplant. I prune my container tomatoes regularly. So the smaller plants get the light they need, also for air ventilation, and bigger yields. Thank you so much for watching. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Beautiful! I am also growing tomatoes and other food in containers. My nasturtiums drew aphids to my tomatoes last year, i think? How did yours do?

Hi Erin! They did pretty good. I seed them very early and I was eating tomatoes before my garden started to produce. That's why I love planting in containers. Thank you so much for watching!
