Q:What camera do you use?
A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
Q: How big Is your rotator?
A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
A: Currently more than 30
Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

@@raymondwood1453 They are professional Operators! They perform 10 times the amount of roll overs as these guy's and you always bring enough to win the fight. Using 2 Rotators is a extremly smart idea if you have 2. However Plaza currently only has 1 Rotator and they could have done this job with no Rotators and only used their Integrated wreckers. Plaza performs very well with Integrated wreckers. Plaza is not even in the same league as peeps and that's not saying anything bad about Plaza it's just that peeps is surrounded by ports where you find Sea Can shipping containers also known as (Wrecker Killers) more so then normal trailers with a huge volume of semi traffic. So I don't think peeps is show boating at all they just know what to bring. These Sea Cans are extremly heavy and have a history of tearing up wreckers. Again I'm NOT bashing Plaza because they do a great job with or without a tator.

Trent, why do you use shackles between endless loops and the hook?
@plazatowing
@plazatowing 3 жыл бұрын
There is a rigging ratio called D:d which in simple terms refers to the angle the endless loop is subject to. Essentially the D:d of the endless loop passing through a shackle is better than that of passing through the hook. Plus it just doesn’t sit very well and becomes bunched in the hook
