Hey everyone! This is my entry: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIfNkHmMg5xnj5o I've noticed that heroes are walking from right to left what means on film language they going to death (remember The Seventh Seal by Ingmar Bergman), so this observation reinforced my decision to compose in minor key and I call it "Marsh of Heroes - Suicide Mission". It is joke of course, I did it because I thought that there will be a lot of major key entries, so this one with different point of view. I hope you like it!

This may be the wrong place for this, but it would be nice to see you work with some less expensive libraries for those who can't afford the high priced stuff yet. Kirk Hunter's Virtuoso Ensembles comes to mind, which has a pretty damn good brass section, and I think the whole library is on sale for about $89 right now, which is outrageously inexpensive for what you get.

Good point! I still use a lot fo very inexpensive libraries tucked away in bits of my template. As soon as I get a chance Ill look into that

For cheap access to HQ libraries, you really can't go wrong with EastWest Composer Cloud.​

I think I remember you using Sonivox strings in one video which are dirt cheap and still sound good, at least for sketches.

Thanks for doing this fun event! Entering this "Century Brass Composer Contest" (email announcement) requires using 8Dio's Library, right? What part does 8Dio play when you say "we've partnered with 8DIO to run the 'Heroic Composer Competition' "? And are we limited to adding just brass? I assume brass must be the emphasis in any case! :)

No - you can score it with whatever brass library you have to hand.

Are brass instruments the only instruments we are allowed to use? Or also woodwinds, strings, percussion etc? (Maybe less emphasis on them though)

You can use whatever you like! I would have changed a lot of things in the backing track myself but I was just focusing on the brass. Make sure the brass is good though! It is a Battle of the Brass afterall!

The downloaded video is 50 fps but Pro Tools does not have a setting for fps? Why is it 50 fps? Do I set my Pro Tools session to 25 fps?
