@@silvialogan9226Drew Carey made The Price is Right so ridiculous that I can't even watch it on a regular basis like I used to. Bob Barker's version is much better well established and let's not forget Dennis James and Tom Kennedy. They both did a very good job too despite standing in the shadow of Bob Barker.

I believe this is the first time a contestant lost by picking all 5 items and coming up short of at least $6.75.

On the 195th and final episode Dennis James hosted of TPIR, he had a contestant that played the Grocery Game that was under the $6.75 figure by just one penny. After all 5 groceries used, she only had $6.74. Not a good impression for Dennis James who was looking forward to retirement after finishing off that episode.

There were plenty of ooh's and aahh's when TPIR showed a freezer. Something that probably spent its life in somebody's garage. No matter how many pie crusts she bought at the end, she would still have lost. Two wouldn't be enough, and three would put her over $7.00.

Grocery Game was day two of TPIR (It wasn't one of the very first three games played on TPIR though it was when Dennis James hosted the nighttime version). Blank Check is 1983.
