If you're subscribed you'll already know, but just in case you aren't, Dixie and her sister Montana hiked the Camino in Spain/France this autumn. It's on her channel :) I thought it'd be a shame if you weren't aware and noone told you. Happy holidays.

You guys all have really cool spirits! ❤️💪✌🏻 I hope to one day do a nice long thru- hike. I lost my oldest brother very tragically in 2018, we just had the one year anniversary. I miss him more than I could ever explain. I want to go out in nature and hike to aid in my grieving process. It’s very special to appreciate Mother Nature for exactly how she is. And learn to love yourself for exactly who you are. At each moment...

I've had such terrible cabin fever this January (2022). I'm on my own hike, not physical, but with something I've been working on for a long time and I have been burned out in every way possible. This helped get me out of the blues, and to get moving again. Thanks, Dixie.

I know the toaster house well. I was a firefighter there for a few years. I met a few hikers over the years and have some great memories of that place.

Those are wolf tracks that you are coming across. The wolves there are the smaller Mexican or prairie wolf. The bigger wolf is the Canadian gray. Or what we call the timber wolf. They will be in Wyoming, Idaho and Montana.
@ScottyDMcom4 жыл бұрын
What they call the "prairie wolf" in Montana is actually a coyote.
@bobpitcher6704 жыл бұрын
@@ScottyDMcom a no, Lewis and Clark noted that there was a difference between the prairie wolf and the coyote. My Grandfather protected his sheep from wolves in central Idaho back in the 1920's. He noted there was a big difference between the two different wolves also. He said that the timber wolf was way more aggressive

Dang Dixie, I am rewatching this and once again so blown away by how tough you are, and what a great attitude you have throughout. You are one cool, inspiring woman. And major props to Aaron for sticking out all that craziness and finishing!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful adventures with us and putting up so much useful info for aspiring hikers like myself ☺️

Excellent documentary on all three Big Ones! Thank you for allowing us to hear the sounds of the wind, of streams, of birds, of the crunch of the trail and not covering it up with continuous music. You were very judicious with your inclusion of music and I VERY much appreciate it. Congratulations 🍾

Congratulations on completing the Triple Crown, your documentaries are very entertaining, you may very well be one of the toughest and most entertaining, funny and spirited thru hikers to share your experiences with the common viewers.

Fabulous job on the film. Dixie you are one tough lady and an example to all of us but especially women, that you can do anything if you are willing to do the work and believe in yourself. Congrats from Wetumpka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I’m sitting here watching this, watching you go up and over Gray’s Peak, and thinking there’s no way I’ll ever be able to do that. I have Triple Crown aspirations starting with the PCT in 2023, the AT in 2024 then the CDT in 2025. How do you convince yourself to not turn around and quit? That looked terrifying! Mad props to you ❤️

I was in Yellowstone last week, I meet a guy in a remote area picnic area, I stop there to take rest and take lunch with family, I say hi to the guy, he was resting cleaning his stuff, invited for lunch, and is where I learn about this trail, the continental divide trail, since there I was interested to know about it, watching videos in KZbin, and I found this video ( your video) and at the moment i star watching I can’t stop!!!! Omg! A great production!!! Beautiful adventure!!! I ended to watch the video at midnight!!! I really appreciate the work you put to this video. Glad you finished all safe . I will be checking more of your channel. Thanks again, greetings from Kansas City.
