Actually I'm trying to figure away to get disabled folks to great hikes. Ive got OA both knees, back stenosis, chronic fatigue... Maybe do a camp magic for 4 hours or plan a smaller doable hike with chair ( I know mountain won't do, but some can!) As I'm in bed recovering from fatigue and pain, the idea of a small hike with help sound do able ( 5 miles 2.5 in... Camp hike out ) It's the journey not miles If I'm thinking about it, I've hired a disabled trainer who understands..

Time to get cheesy. This is honestly my favorite video that anybody has done of the PCT. First, I commend your spirit and bravery for taking the trip on as a lone woman and for seeing it through to the end. I appreciate that you shared your vulnerable moments of stress and fear with us and how you didn’t let it get the best of you. Obviously the sweeping views and gorgeous landscapes were breathtaking but I loved that you took the time to show us the beauty that lies in the small things on the trail. A heartfelt congratulations on completing the PCT and making women proud, and a big thank you for the amazing video and inspiration for my future hike!

I am a fellow southerner and live near the beginning of the Appalachian Trail in Blue Ridge Georgia. As a young man I was lucky enough to travel throughout Europe. Now I am medically disabled and not able to hike. Your videos allow me to see things and go on journeys that are no longer possible for me and for that I am truly grateful. Your commentary and interviews are delightful and your cinematography is stunning. I don’t know how you accomplish some of the shots you capture without lots of sophisticated equipment. Also, the editing and music are always spot on. Thanks for allowing me to join you on the journey.

Well, y'all just went and done did it. Here I had all of this PCT nonsense carefully pushed back into a never-visited and thoroughly obscure part of my brain, and now after watching all of your bloody videos, it has snuck out, crept past the door and fully invaded my consciousness. To the degree that now I am actually thinking about trying to do the PCT in 2022. The issue here is that I am old enough that I shouldn't even be thinking about such a venture, let alone actually contemplating actually putting a foot on the trail. I guess time will tell. I fully expect that lacking the Lord's help I will never be able to complete this extreme stretch of my old frame. I just hope He is willing to keep me going when the going gets rough.

23:00 I've been going through a rough spot in life mentally (as I'm sure we all have been) but this really helped me center myself. Thanks so much

At 58 minutes the landscape took my breath away. I like long distance walking but this is above and beyond me, for a number of reasons. I don't know what superlative to use for the scenery. Thanks so much for producing this documentary to share with others.

Hey homemade wanderlust, this video was amazing. I am someone going through some struggles in my life, but i love the outdoors, and tonight one of those struggles is feeling unwell/weak like im getting sick. But I also struggle from mental illness and certain things. I made a bowl of chicken noodle soup midway and watched all the way through. I am so thankful you made this movie. i love the idea, and may one day try something similar, I am from Canada, and I know we have some amazing paths here too. Anyways much respect sent your way, props on finishing both trails!

44:14 is the reason why I am glad you had an ice axe. I am an Eagle Scout who has discovered a love for backpacking at Philmont. This video is the reason while before I die I will take on the PCT. You have earned a subscriber.

I know this is an older post but I absolutely loved this video. I have tried to watch a few trail videos but this is the only one that was well done very entertaining and beautiful scenery. Keep up the good work of sharing your adventures.

Hands down the best documentary so far on any trail for that matter that has been made in the last few years.

57:43 was funnier than any comedy on TV now a days. 🤣 perfect edit with the music and the cough.

Even more than the beautiful trail, this exposes a beautiful perspective. What a monumental achievement, the journey AND the film! Thank you.

I need friends like you, Dixie! :) These type of adventures are my type of adventures. I haven't met anyone in my area that can handle what I consider fun. LoL. Thank you for sharing your highlights and your struggles along your backpacking journeys. Your videos really show the reality of the outdoors and the reward of challenging yourself. Thank you for inspiring!

I didn't think I would end up watching the whole two hours but the entire thing was very captivating. Excellent editing. That stick twirl after your encounter with the guy telling you that you wouldn't make it was a nice touch.
