This is a 10,000 mile review of driving with the Continental Pure Contact ls tires. These purecontacts are on my 2017 ford fusion energi and replaced my Michelin energy saver tires. These tires have a 75,000 mile warranty from continental.

I have a set of these on my 2015 Honda Accord, and have almost 70,000 miles on them. I just ordered another set since the last set held up. If I push my luck 🍀, I could probably get another 5,000 + miles out of them, but I’m going to play it safe and change out, plus new shocks since my car has 125,000 miles now. So shocks, strut mounts and new wheel 🛞 alignment and good to go.

Glad I found this video! I just decided to pick the Continentals over the dealer recommended Energy Savers. I wasn't that confident, but this video makes me feel like I made the right choice.

Just had 4 of these put on my 2014 VW CC and the ride is amazing. The noise went way down. As per my tire guy, they need to be rotated in a specific direction. Thanks for the video.

My pure contact ls are junk.I got 4k miles on them and good alignment and good suspension and I don’t peel out and there already at 50% tread.I don’t get it.

Picky garage, Thanks for putting out a review! I almost stopped watching bc it sounded like you didn't understand the tire. I, myself, took Wal-Mart's really cheap price, made a copy(verification) of the price, and used price match with Discount Tire to get a good price. That way I get a reputable tire install and warranty and also a good price...hope this helps buddy

I just had these installed on my 2020 VW Passat R-Line and I love them! Great handling for the class and the car rides nearly as well as the 01 Benz S430 I used to own. Now that’s saying something!

Whew. Tires are hard to find today and much more expensive than they were just a couple decades ago. I was lucky to find the size for my '09 Acura LS and snagged a full set of Continental Pure Contact LS's.

I am having the same problem with our 2005 Audi A4 with the Continental DWS06 Flat Spots and it takes 44 pounds of air and hard driving to get the noises out! Switching over to the Continental PURE Contact LS next week!

Thank you. I kept these on my 2012 FIAT and the wear was very good, 48000 to 52000. Now I might try them on my 2021 Corolla SE HB. I do like the Dunlop Enasave, they are quiet and are wearing well at 22000. The Enasaves are expensive so thats why I might try the Procontacts. Thanks again for the review.

I've got a set of Contour Contact tires from Conti. Dry, wet and snow, they're predictable and confidence inspiring. I may not have a "sports car" (2000 Grand Marquis), but it actually handles really neutrally. Maybe because its Ford counterpart is a cop car.

I must have just gotten a bad set. Just had Discount Tire put on a set of PureContact LS on my ‘17 Civic - they replaced the stock tires (which I never had an issue with) - tread was low as I have almost 90,000 miles on it. I like the firmness of the new tires but a definite vibration, especially at highway speeds. Just enough to be annoying 😕

Wow that’s so crazy same here literally got a set of 4 purecontact LS on my 10 es350 that I just brought that had low tread tires that was loud and annoying so I got new tires car was vibration on highway and city went back to tire shop a million times they even replaced the set with new ones after 1k vibration came stay away from pure contact Ls idk what’s going on with production lately but these batches are not it I had pure contact Ls in 2018 that was quite and smooth

It maybe that they didn’t properly balance the tires prior to installation. I suggest you check with the shop.

Yea - I probably went back to the shop 4 times for them to check them - they said all looked good but they let me return them. I ended up getting a set of Goodyear Assurance - awesome!!!

Just put these tires on my '14 Benz E class. They are the noisiest tires I've ever owned, and it's not even close. I "upgraded" to the PureContact LS's from some Toyos and paid about $40 per tire more for a MUCH noisier tire that drives and handles about the same. The noise is so loud that I'm turning the radio on to drown it out. I know that new tires are noisier at first and then quiet down after a few drives, but these have not done that. It's almost like I have studded snow tires on. Not kidding. I checked for fender clearance just to be sure after driving them home. They are also noisier backing that going forward for some weird reason. These are going back. Maybe I got a bad set, but really, FOUR bad tires? Not likely.

What’s psi are you running? Maybe drop some air out ? I run 35-39 psi. I can’t say mine are noisy at all.

Thinking about getting a set of these for my fusion. I’m switching out my 20s for some 19s shortly because I want to get a better ride and get rid of the stretched tire appearance because it gets sketchy sometimes on the speed bumps 😅

thank you for the great review. I was stunned to hear Michelin has stopped producing the Premier A/S tire for my wife's Acura TSX. I got the impression in the video that you has a set of Premier in the past. I live in Orlando fl are so snow not a factor. But Rain is biggest factor. If you could help me with two quick questions i would really appreciate your input. I was disappointed as well when michelin discontinued premier a/s for 215 55r17. I loved those premiers. However, I believe they replaced it with primacy tour a/s, which are more pricy. From my research, continental pure contact LS is the closest out there to premier a/s in terms of overall performance and road noise. Plus they last a bit longer and a bit cheaper.

there isnt any road noise in my personal opinion my car is half electric so some times the engine is not even on and i dont hear anything. The ford fusion does have amazing sound dentening though. They currently have 50,000 miles and i couldnt be happier.

How do you go about getting warranty from continental? Can they reimburse you? I had my Continental pure contact tire blown on a Tesla and unfortunately the only option was to tow it in and they charge me $379

I think the warranty only covers tread wear. I would for sure give them a call or email to see if there is anything they could do for you. Sorry to hear about your tire blowing out that is always a pain in the butt! Thanks for leaving a comment and checking out the channel!

@@br33zy771Depends upon what OEM tires you had. If they were "V" speed rated, then you have to consider if ou want to go to the TrueContacts which are "H" rated. When you drop a tire down in it's speed rating, the tire can run hotter because the sidewalls are not as stiff. And performance will decrease even though traction in snow will increase. Vehicles also have suspensions tuned to the speed rating and staying with the OEM rating is whats recommended.

Yes, there's an inboard tread and an outboard tread! Swap out as both front left & right to rear left & right!

Yes, the PureContact is giving a smoother and more dependable ride then the Michelin Energy Saver A/S that came stock on the car....very noticeable difference

You need to be changing your oil as soon as it starts turning dark and not by the miles. If the oil is full of contaminants, it's doing harm to the motor and needs to go.

No! The oil is just beginning to do it's job cleaning the engine! It takes time for a good engine oil to breakdown and carry away the dirt in the engine. The oil is designed to carry and hold contaminants in suspension. If you really want to get technical, then oil analysis is the only way to tell when you should change your oil...
