Continuity basically doesn't exist in Spongebob... meaning there are a ton of really weird errors.

Actually, there is a error in this video... Sponge Out Of Water takes place BEFORE the first SpongeBob movie, as the first movie takes place at the very end of the timeline. You've mentioned this before, as well. Just like the video, I'm just joking around :D

That actually has a very simple Solution: It just is. It's the same reason the "Surprised" Spongebob and Patrick faces are in a episode. The writers did it as a reference, but both situations had no other reference to the movie. It's likely that SpongeBob was given permission to take the costume from LostNFound somewhere between that episode and the First Movie.

There are, but as said in the original comment, the creator of SpongeBob placed the Movie at the very end of the show. The logical reason as to why the reference was in that episode was simply because the movie had already been made.

Considering Patrick's intelligence, forgetting a family member isn't unusual for him. But another continuity error that will most likely happen in the future is the episode where they scavenger hunt. In the end of that episode, SpongeBob and Patrick became adopted brothers of Squidward, a thing they will most likely to retcon.

Hey Vail, you forgot one of the errors In the Season 2 episode “Christmas Who?” Sandy apparently is the only citizen of Bikini Bottom to know what Christmas is and when Spongebob heard about it and told everyone I about it. However in season 1’s “Jellyfishing” Patrick exclaims “Merry Christmas” why would he say that if he didn’t know Christmas was a thing at the time.

there is one fact about "The Spongebob Christmas Special" that everyone is forgetting. When the episode aires, Patchy The Pirate is the one who is narrating the story of Spongebob's first Christmas. He even shows how SB and Patrick are celebrating Christmas this year. Which means the actual events of "Christmas Who?" take place after Sandy moved in to Bikini Bottom, but before the christmas special aired.

The first is canonically the very end of SpongeBob so the second movie happened before the first. That's why SpongeBob is shocked to see humans bc he has never seen one before. Also the episode where Squid has never seen SpongeBob house was a prequel episode, and everything after the first movie, to the first movie.

A couple errors. In the Episode "Pressure" The Island on dry land is just a small island, barely able to fit a human. While later on in Sponge out of water, the Island is Huge and full of booby traps and a living skeleton, and magic book. King neptune's Apperance in The Spongebob movie and various episodes. This could all be a timeline thing, but The flying dutchman has no idea who Spongebob is in the Legend of Bookini Bottom, yet he knows him in other episodes. It's possible that Legend of Bookini Bottom is a prequel/Sequel to Scaredy pants.

Here are a few more I noticed: -In a season 5 episode called "Roller Cowards", The Fiery Fist-o-Pain was just being introduced. However, in a season 1 episode of "Rock Bottom", the Fiery Fist-o-Pain was briefly shown. -In most pre-movie episodes, Patrick was used to SpongeBob going to work and wearing a hat. In "No Hat for Pat", Patrick was not used to SpongeBob wearing a hate and going to work.

There’s no real timeline to this show. Any episode could take place at any time. Like how in the episode Jellyfishing, Patrick says Merry Christmas, when they weren’t supposed to know about it until Christmas who. Many of these continuity errors can be explained using the multiple timelines/ multiverse theory. However, it is a rather cheap way to answer why a cartoon has no continuity. The other and more likely explanation is that the episodes are not canonically in order.

A small continuity error in the secret box is when Patrick has this very embarrassing picture of “spongebob at that Christmas party” but at the timeline of this episode, they have only celebrated Christmas once, so where exactly did the picture come from if they had never been to a Christmas party? I guess this can’t be a continuity error if y’all are referring to the picture squidward took of spongebob when Santa didn’t show up, but I don’t think that is really an embarrassing picture because it was very sad. Plus I couldn’t think of one way that Patrick would wound up with that picture, he and squidward never share stuff per say.. I also had remembered that the whole episode of Christmas who, patchy the pirate was telling the story of spongebobs first Christmas, so maybe that event took place a while ago, maybe they had been to a Christmas party before, just not in that episode. Also, spongebob isn’t a chronological story cartoon so continuity errors are expected. I’m probably making too big of a deal out of this (possibly not even a) continuity error, but I like to share my opinions.

The way I fix a lot of errors is by setting episodes after or before a certain other episode. So for example I put the spongebob movie at the end of the entire series (which fixes one of the errors) and I do that for the butterfly scenario and a few more things

2:20 well it was said that the Spongebob Squarepants movie was supposed to be the end of the show but that didn't happen due to the popularity of the show only growing after the movie and nickelodeon wanting more episodes so to clear up any confusions Stephen Hillenburg said that the movie still canonically takes place at the end of the show even taking place after the episodes that come after it. Thats why there is no mention of a krusty krab 2 after the movie because the movie takes place after all the events of the show.

The wheels depend on what vehicle it is. Boats and squidwards low-riding bikes have round black wheels, while bikes and unicycles have paddles. It's not a continuity mistake. In one of the shots that you showed we see spomgebob with a paddle on his unicycle and wheels on squids low rider

You forgot about Krusty Krab origin continuity error. Basically, in "Krusty Krab Training Video", Mr. Krabs said that Krusty Krab was a home for old people, and then he bought it. But in one of the next episodes (I think it was S6 or 7) he said that it was a ship, then he changed it to restaurant.

Btw the second Spongebob movie takes place between the 2nd and 3rd episode of sponge bob, explaining why they are surprised by people and that’s why they weren’t surprised in the first movie because it takes place at the end of the spongebob timeline.

Maybe SpongeBob forgot what a butterfly was in Wormy. Maybe the jellyfish started to like Squidward’s music. Maybe Mr. Krabs doesn’t want SpongeBob and Squidward to know that he was friends with Plankton. There were multiple people in Sponge Out Of Water, so SpongeBob would be surprised at this because SpongeBob and Patrick only met with one person, being David Hasselhoff in the first movie. SpongeBob may have been born left-handed, and after many years, he might have learned to become ambidextrous. Maybe Patrick forgot he had a sister. SpongeBob may have forgotten how to surf in SpongeBob VS. The Big One.
