In friend or foe, Krabs and Plankton were still young, so it's possible the Krabby Patty recipe is, in fact, an old Krabs family recipe. Mr Krabs simply hadn't been taught it yet and was doing the best he could to copy what he saw his mom make. Then, some time after Krabs and Plankton split up, Momma Krabs taught him the actual family recipe.

Something to note with the Krusty Krab's popularity is that, in some episodes, such as "Help Wanted" it's depicted as having been a run of the mill eatery before Spongebob breathed new life into it, as you mentioned, but, in "The Original Fry-cook" in season 5, it's shown that they had a predecessor to Spongebob, who was beloved and made the restaurant very popular before he left, which, presumably left the Krusty Krab in the state it's in in "Help Wanted". However, in "Truth or Square" Squidward talks about missing the fry-cook that worked at the Krusty Krab before Spongebob, and it's a totally different guy than the one shown and mentioned in "The Original Fry-cook", which came first. Also, on an unrelated note, I'm surprised you haven't mentioned the many versions of Old-man-Jenkins.

tbf the guy who was the fry cook in "truth or square" likely came after jim but before spongebob. he prolly quit as he looked miserable to be working there, and it's shown that jim quitting was a rlly long time ago

When I was a kid, I didn't like the inconsistency of what made the Krabby Patty so good. In earlier episodes there was "Secret Sauce" later episodes it was the recipe for the patties themselves

I think the secret sauce thing is only mentioned in "as seen on tv", "patty caper" and "inside job" :0 aside from them I think they always refer to the secret formula as the contents of the patty. of course there could be both but *shrug* lol edit: and even in "patty caper" I don't think they called it a "sauce" just a secret ingredient that came in a bottle

I like to think that the boating school is actually constantly changing because Mrs. Puff’s fear of SpongeBob. She is constantly changing how the school works in hopes of finding some way to get SpongeBob to finally get his license.

This video made me think about how so much of early SpongeBob made Boating School be designed like an actual school which if you’ve been to driving school you know it’s nothing like actual school. Honestly I wonder if it’s something Nick tried to force, remember Nick wanted to make SpongeBob a young kid compared to the young adult he actually is…maybe they demanded the boating school to be designed as an actual school.

It is one of those things I didn't really think about until recently. Let's not even get started on the restaurant breaking health guidelines multiple episodes between Fungus Among Us, Greasy Buffoons, etc. Heck arguably SpongeBob going to work sick in Suds.

A big inconsistency I found was Mr. Krabs as a pirate VS, a navy veteran. In the episode where his grand-dad returns, he claims that he grew up wanting to be a pirate, lost his money and sold his ship, and took the ships sign, "krusty krab" with him. But then in other episodes like training video, its said he was in the war before buying a retirement home, (which already had the krusty krab sign before he bought it i think), THEN became a resteraunt owner. He couldn't have been a pirate first because in the grand-dad episode, he's afraid grand-dad redbeard, who is under the impression that mr krabs is still a pirate, would find out that he became a resteraunt owner, but isn't afraid of the granddad finding out he was a naval officer who fought against pirates? But he couldn't have been a navy vet first because in episodes like S9, pull up a barrel, its shown he actively fought against and was morally apposed to pirates (then again the episode also has sandy as a stand-in for a pirate captain despite that sandy not having a helmet????). Both the professions and backstories conflict with each other (plus the timeline of events in which he acquires/builds the krusty krab are entirely contradicting)

I remember that one episode when Squidward was the substitute and he asked that one guy to write his name and he said he was there because his license was suspended, that was peak.

JUST LETTING YOU KNOW, I noticed all of these when I was a little kid. It didn’t bother me massively, but I did think it was strange, but accepted it for entertainment purposes. Your videos are not in vain!!!! Something that irked me a little when I was younger was how the Krusty krab looks gigantic sometimes (that one episode with the prank squid pulled on SpongeBob and he was flying around everywhere, compared to the distance you’ll see SpongeBob walk from the doors to the kitchen being very short in other episodes. Idk! Also, I always felt like Larry was a life guard, I don’t know if I’m misremembering, but I swear there were more inconsistencies regarding blue lagoon too. On one of our movie CDs, there are a couple episodes that come after on the CD. One with Patrick’s sister. I liked the episode as a kid but it was kind of weird I don’t recall ever seeing her before or after ever again

Mr Krabs sleeping inconsistency: in early episodes fitting with his sailor/naval roots, Krabs sleeps in a hammock. Until season 4 when he suddenly sleeps on a mattress that holds all of his savings.

I still believe that the formula is genuinely a Krab's family recipe (which aligns with King Krabs learning about it in Dunces and Dragons). In the episode where Plankton dates Mrs. Krabs, both her and Krabs confirm that it is a family recipe. Only reason I take that as the official stance is cus it seems weird having him convince his mom to follow along when she clearly doesn't care about the Krusty Krab or even money

on the issue of minimum wage: there are episodes suggesting that SpongeBob and Squidward's salaries are very high, An example would be the fact that in one of the episodes Squidward literally installed an elevator inside his house, There is also an episode where SpongeBob literally offers jewels like diamonds in an attempt to buy something.

I've just noticed not only does the boating track not connect background, but there's no actual way to get your car in or out of it. Like you walk up the road to the shcool, vendors a kind of dock that the school is on, and then the actual ground level and the racing track is below that.

It's normal to overthink children's cartoons. Take Paw Patrol for example. In one episode, Rubble mentions a dream he had where cats could talk, which Skye remarks is "weird." A couple seasons later, talking cats are apparently a completely normal thing and everyone acts like it was always that way. Except some cats still can't talk.
