When I saw they use "Cal Art" style for the Battletoads and turned the Dark Queen into "That", I knew the game gonna be turd. It is obvious that the dev was more interested in appeasing a certain population than actually making the game.

Re: good Contra games, it's ten years old now but so many people completely missed it. Hard Corps: Uprising on PS3/360 is amazing. I don't know why they didn't put the Contra name on it, and I'm disappointed that it hasn't been ported to newer consoles. (Though I guess the XBOX crowd has compatibility!)

They are different gameplay wise even though visually they seem similar. The controls are different in metal slug.

@@mikematei so I've seen. My thing is that contra looks fun and All but Metal Slug seemed more fair and action packed. If I want an 8 Bit side scrolling run and gun I'd go with Mega Man. Metal Slug is a lot faster paced.
