Just stumbled across your channel this morning and ripped through like 20 shorts and this vid. Gotta get you more subscribers. Truly helpful pro tips. Really hard to find on here with DIY’ers passing as pros and generic new build stuff. Love this channel👍

@@Tool_Addicted_Carpenter You're welcome. Have you ever been near an in-use Makita Quiet Series 1 HP, 2 Gallon, Oil-Free, Electric Air Compressor? I hadn't, but i bought one a year ago and have been using it regularly doing handyman/remodel and finish carpenter work with it; and compared to the 6-gallon "pancake" air compressors it's so quiet, (and the sounds it makes,) it's comparable to hearing a loud fish aquarium pump, almost. And it does drive 4 framing nails before re-pumping up (just as i saw in side-by-side comparison video by a carpenter on YT comparing it to the model just a little bigger.) I find it works perfect with the pressure turned all the way up for all nailing: 3" framing nails, brad/staple nails, 15g 2.5" nails, and 11/4 - 2" 18g and 23g pin nails.

@@TedBruckner I haven't. I considered it back when I was looking at some compact compressors but I don't really use a compressor very often these days. Just for the occasional flooring and siding jobs.

Make sure to add a GPS tracker; hell, even a small 24 hr camera inside too. Sick trailer and well thought out!

Nice setup. I highly recommend chinese diesel heater and solar setup if you often without site power like me. Solar was a bit pricey, but it paid for itself not running a generator all the time. I do mostly commercial work in new buildings with out electric. The diesel heat is the best. Got a 10 gallon tank and I just let it run on low all winter. Just top off the tank when I fuel the truck. Best $250 Ive spent.

@8:37 I felt that 🤣and we don't even have crazy pitches around here love the trailer, been waiting for this vid for a while I been stealing your demo bag idea but I use the small-ish dewalt rolling toolbox (about 30" long and 1'x1', works great since it's so heavy)
@Tool_Addicted_Carpenter5 ай бұрын
@@andy6131 Hey Andy! The delay was on me. I really wanted to make sure it was completely refined but I've made next to no changes since the original build so I could've released this a year ago. It's worked out awesome though. The demo bag is definitely a tank but carry once cry once. Everything 10 guys could need to wreck a place lol

I have a 4” PVC conduit carrier where I just keep misc trim. (Cove, shoe, very small and long off cuts. Ect) Comes in handy having it on top of the truck. If I had to do it again I’d get 6” or 8”
@Tool_Addicted_Carpenter5 ай бұрын
@@chriscolameco6850 I hope it lived up to expectations lol. Don't go with 8". I made the mistake of buying 8" end caps and the pipe is crazy money. Like 3 or 4x 6". It's an obscure item too whereas 6" is off the shelf. I definitely have plans to put some dividers up there but I haven't made any concrete decisions on it yet. 6" pipe is probably the move because that's just about exactly the space I have up there and if I line a few up in a row then I can actually put some stops inside at 3/4/5' in different pipes for different length stock. Thanks for watching sir!
@chriscolameco68504 ай бұрын
Oh thats smart putting the stops on! Yeah this game is a constant battle of “I want to be able to just grab my tool with all the attachments/fasteners and go” And “why am I lugging around 8 flap disks just to cut one bolt with this grinder” And “fuck I have a flap disk on the one grinder I have on me and nothing else I need my cutoff wheel” 😂 Ramset gun is the only thing I have where a tool has a dedicated box, and trade/job specific hand tools and small parts get their own thing, but I’m constantly reorganizing.

Also I have the “Ron paulk” style cubbies, great for organizing less commonly used nailers/power tools. Stuff I don’t need every day but is too big to put in a drawer
@Tool_Addicted_Carpenter4 ай бұрын
@@chriscolameco6850 It's definitely a constant battle but it's gotten better since I just resolved myself to always grabbing the full boxes. My rule is if you need one thing out of a toolbox, you take the whole thing to work. It has proven to be the right call 99% of the time. The main reason being that I almost always end up needing something else out of that tool box. Another couple reasons being they stack easier in the truck, they're waterproof in the bed, the truck+jobsite stay organized without loose tools floating around, and the whole thing just goes back exactly where it was when it's brought back home. All too many times early on where I was like 'ahhh I just need this tool today' and left the rest of the box and ended up needing something out of it. By using this method all around I actually haven't had to truly re-organize anything other than new purchases in over 2 years. It's not flawless obviously because some people don't want to carry a full tool box for one tool but it has really worked wonders for me. It's also very easy to send someone to grab something for me when it's in its own labeled box with all of the corresponding batteries, blades, etc.

Great layout! I saw that you run a couple of Metabo nailers. I just got the 18ga brad nailer. Not like l plan on using bump fire often lol, but it’s pretty awful in that mode… Just curious if that’s typically for this gun. Also if its possible to file the striker down a bit - leaves slightly larger holes than I’d hoped for. Thanks
@Tool_Addicted_Carpenter5 ай бұрын
@@landonlakes4782 Thank you. I'm not sure which brad nailer you have. They offer two different ones. Metabo recently started offering one for $150 that I have no experience with. I haven't had any issues with the one that I have. I don't see any reason you couldn't file the firing pin down a bit. I don't have any experience with that so I don't want to give bad info though.
