For the barrel coverings: There are metal flakes (and other crap) that leave a barrel when firing. Covering the other barrel will help prevent you from fouling your own barrel. Not sure that gas exhausting would be affected by such a lose covering, so the only real reason I can see to have it close so often is to prevent fouling from the other barrel.

I think the 176 has just made us a bit wary about any new premium. I don't think this will reach the levels as it's not as idiot proof as the 176 is. It also looks like this tank suffers against higher tiers more compared to the 176 personally. It looks like a good tank but I don't think it'll be game breaking unless it's in the right hands.

The highest pen that the BZ176 has ist 225. It suffers badly against opposing tier 9 and 10 heavy tanks and TDs, especially in hulldown faceoffs. It's OP against tier 7 and below, of course.

There is something weird about the accuracy of this gun in double-shot mode right now. The lowest dispersion it can get is 0.92, which is still greater than a BZ176 with a damaged gun (max 0.88). Base dispersion of this gun (1.15) is greater than a KV2 firing on the move (1.12). But how does this gun feel so much more accurate than anything I've described above? EDIT: On AEG's video, someone is suggesting that the dispersion is calculated differently by taking the farthest points of both guns, combining both aiming circles (and maybe the space in between them). So it's possible that the actual accuracy/dispersion is a little less than half of the value, which would make a lot of sense since it would resemble the value of a KV2 or BZ176. That would make this tank have a gun like the BZ176 able to fire on the move...

there are actually hidden rng values which imo can't be seen anywhere. and this is aim circle rng. imagine that you have alot of circles inside the aim circle. now these circles have rng percentage. you want big percentage in the middle circles and low percentages in outer circles. these percentages decide on how often your shot lands in the middle and how often on outer edge. i've been mostly soviet tank main. but last year been trying some german tanks. russian tanks have very big aim circles but it doesn't matter cause for some reason, shells do like to go more towards middle. while german guns aim circles are small, but shells barely go to the middle of circle. by stats german tanks should be hitting their targets more often than soviet tanks, but due to these hidden rng percentages, soviet tanks hit shots better.

You have to consider that you have two aim circles now, as both barrels are not aimed at the same spot. Thus the wider area of dispersion that heightens the value

Yeah I believe it's a wider aiming circle (an oval), not a tall one. And as most tanks are usually wider than the are tall, most shots will hit the target (well, more than if it was a circle)

Multiple factors at play shell velocity is a big one kv2s shells are in the air longer so have more time to deviate kv2 also has bad gun handling so it takes longer to aim and if your not fully aimed you rush the shot your likely to miss whereas this is always aimed in its fire mode so its starting out on target which is a big help the kv2 lacks if kv2 was always fully aimed .5 would feel like great accuracy at these sorts of distances

KV-2 also has turret and tank traverse bloom coupled with horrible aim time, so it almost never fully aims in. The contradictious here gets best possible accuracy regardless of gun handling stats at all times

I think to your question to why they cover the ends of the barrel you asked on 29:30. I think it's to let the enemy know which mode your on if they look at your barrels. So if it's 1v1 & they're a 1 shot kill, but so are you if they double barrel you & not if they single shot you. But to push the tank to fire, you will have to get hit first before firing. So I think this is about giving the enemy some information.

I have had this tank in garage. Took it out once and it has sat since. But...... then along came Frontline. I took this tank out in Frontline. HOLY CRAP it shocked me. It was the only tank I used through the battle. Did 8193 damage and managed 3 kills. It take some getting used to the speed difference in modes. But it is amazing how many fires I set when hitting them with a double. Ok I like it.

I watched AEG driving this vehicle in a platoon and they were actually landing tons of double shots, so it's more accurate than what the numbers might suggest, so this heavy is fairly powerful. It feels like a Kranvagn at tier 8 with a weird mechanic. This line of british heavies will be interesting to play with in a few months.

Either they'll be interesting or WG will realize they made a mistake making the prem powerful (again) and release the tech tree tanks in a weakened state (ie, nerf the moving dispersion while in siege mode or something). The Tech tree T8 will probably have like 320 alpha per gun (they always do this as well, weaker TT alpha compared to prem)

the armor layout on this tank is T9 if not T10. like on the Obj 752 u just raise the gun to hide the copola, reloading 19 secs for the 720 doesent matter when like the BZ no one can penetrate u u without exposing themselves for your whole team. Reloaded this tank is pretty much unpushable when u dont have the HP and the time to shoot it 2-3 times just to trade even. Another tank that just makes me avoiding Tier 8 in random battles

Well, just had a little test with a clanmate. Chimera (no special reason) and contradictious. Trainingroom. 15 gold shots at turret and upper hull AND also tested sidescaping. NO PEN at all. If you play tier 8 and meet Contra - dont even bother shooting at it. Its a new bz-176. If you have the side - no problem, everything goes through. Another WG shinanigan! AND NO - i dident get any lootboxes.

QB, in my opinion this tank doesn't seem so OP. I'm not going to say its bad but compared to a BZ, Skoda T56 or even 703 II, it seems a little weak, now, don't get me wrong, I think it's a nice thing that Wg doesn't make new tanks like these, but, what I want to say is that I think you're overestimating this vehicle a bit. The muzzle covers (as depicted in the game) are completely worthless and solely for aesthetic. The reason being that you can see there's a gap between the halves, meaning that it would still let in dust and water (if fording). Real muzzle covers completely cover the end and are typically just used in practise exercises to keep the barrel from getting gunked up. The "control rods" are fictional as well. On the Green Mace AA gun, which the guns appear to be based on, that rod is a cooling pipe. Also the double fire effect appears to be incorrectly using the 100mm sound instead of the 105mm+ sound.

i think it is 100% vert stab and not aiming unit. does it really matter if you have 1.10 or 1.00 accuracy? you will be using it in close combat only and usually you will use the single shot mode.

Mate this tank has 0.01 dispersion moving or turning in the double mode. The whole point of this tank is to boost the accuracy (which will also help single mode) and dump sweaty 720 alpha bombs while driving at 20 km/h. You'll see.

@@QuickyBabyTV yeah, i really do not think, that 0.08 better dispersion (0.96 vs. 1.04) at 100m will help much, but stabs will help you all the time when shooting one by one. it is just my opinion, i am not arguing here, that is the great thing about equipment, we can all choose what ever we want and i usually am not one of these "meta" setup persons. and what i have seen, then this tanks accuracy in games does not seem to correspond to it's paper values, for some reason it seems to hit more often, than one would expect with accuracy it is given in double mode, be it 0.96 or 1.04. and the game you played with stabs, you hit the shots just as well. but i will try out both setups and i will see then.

Powerful is ok infallible is not. The 176 is too strong in too many different scenarios not just on a ridge line
