God i hope this becomes permanent. Ive been on burnout from apex for awhile cause it just no longer felt fun to spawn die and try again with rare occasions when things went well. Hopefully this gamemode can make a lot of people come back to the game and have fun.

​@@pandabambooo9205 im certain this is just a playtest for everyone in apex, when they do stuff like this they usually try to impliment it as a full thing. most LTM's they have are basically ideas they might incorporate into the battle royale, and quite a few of them actually made it into battle royale

Knowing that they’ve been working on this mode since at least season 9 (considering that’s when it was first leaked), Lava siphon almost seems TOO perfect for this game mode. Like the POI was designed with large, symmetrical, team modes in mind.

I feel like the three huge building things would be too easy to hold and anyone who falls off or tries to approach the other building would instantly be beamed by 9 people. Okay, so, strange idea: Fishfarm for control. Hear me out: It's a fairly open area, but with a surprising amount of cover in buildings and stuff. I think it could honestly be really good, especially to help make the Bow more useful than just flatline all the time.

Oasis on Olymp can be a great map for this mode: 2 absolutely identical buildings; huge location and enough places to capture

if it does go away people are gonna be extremely angry. i dont see why the devs seem scared of making the game more of a fleshed out product instead of just 2 modes, the only fun one of which has 4 maps on a rotation

@@mattai075 I guess you have to think about active player bases in regions. Some region servers are already struggling to fill lobbies and that may cause matchmaking to ignore skill and prioritize getting people in games. So adding all the previous LTMs as permanent modes could accidentally kill those lobbies and you could end up fighting people that are way out of your league one way or another on top of having to possibly wait forever to play if you pick an unpopular game mode. This is just my guess though. I got no clue if they have a way to work around that.

I agree introducing PVE into the mix would be interesting but none of the existing prowler dens are really big enough to be a Control map. Though if they made a whole map that was a prowler den I'd be down for it

No! PvE is gimmicky at first but it gets stale really quick and people get frsutrated with it Apex is designed for PvP, let it be At the max they can have that as a LTM within control when it becomes permanent but not in the main game mode

i love the thought of this gamemode. i really hope they make it perminent. one thing i enjoyed about warzone was that i could go hop into modern warfare and level up the same guns. i would love to just play a few matchs of control to get used to recoil and stuff before playing br. i think its a great idea. thats my output. e.

I think a great map for control would be Lava Siphon (new sorting factory on world's edge) because you could spawn on the outskirts and then travel into the first building capture that point, and take one of the gondolas to the middle or the enemy base and capture that point

I can see Antenna as a control map. If they place the points well, it's almost entirely symmetrical, not to mention the various types of terrain which could lead to some pretty cool fights.

For kings canyon I think it you be cool to have a crash site and a spotted lakes map. And I think they could combine hydro dam and repulser for 1 map. And maybe compositor. For worlds edge they could have skyhook and both of fragment. I am very excited for this mode since we had a season dryer than the Sahara desert

If im honest, i think the Causthicc filtration thing on Kings Canion would be kinda nice to see. I didnt really liked the spot in the br, BUT i think in controll it would be dope. Like with one team on the fron, one in the back and that B would be in the middle where all these gas pools are.

Definitely want to see team chat. Like something where you can toggle in to team chat and then out to squad chat. Also I wish they would add the option to premake more than just 3 ppl. Like if I have 4 other ppl I usually play with, I want to be able to load into the same team as all of them

I think "Water Treatment" is a good POI from KC that the devs can use for control. Not the caustic take over... but the OG water treatment spot. The central landing area with indoor zips can easily be the B point with the small town areas on either end of Water treatment serving as each home base respectfully. It would be 95% symmetrical. With equal space for indoor (close range) and outdoor (long range fights) with high ground scattered around the area.
