Love the simplified animations. 👌 Well explained and amazing work!

Always great to see you again... I miss hearing your voice, but you explained this very well! It allows you to do a written script, which is not the difficult part for you, and get the robot to keep the pace quick... easier for you, and better for some non-native English speakers (or, it seems, some Brits and Yankees 😉) On with the show!

Fascinating! Intuitively, I’d have started with the flat way to make a reference PLANE. At first I couldn’t understand why you used the more difficult to scrape vee ways as your reference, but then I realized you are using an idealized LINE/axis as your reference and it made perfect sense. With such incredible results I hesitate to comment, but I could not help but notice you “catching corners” on your scraper blade in the video. Stoning of course removes any inaccuracies from burrs, but relieving/radiusing the corners of your scraper blade should reduce that annoyance.

I have a low quality small Chinese milling machine. The center way is about 200mm long, and from the factory it was un-flat by about 0,8mm, the ways were literally finished with a hand angle grinder. Astonishing how anyone could produce such horrible quality work. Your videos are very well organized . Slava Ukraine!

Great work Gena! Only that enormous mess between the guideways. I puzzles me that you don't mind it while working, I would be really annoyed by it.

Looks amazing! All your ideas are really solid in concept and common sense, how much are you asking for the autocollimator ?
@gena_bazarko13 сағат бұрын
I have for sale autocollimators 1 arc second, there are 0.5 arc second and 0.2 arc second. I will provide more detailed information by mail. den.gennady19@gmail.com

Nice work! Do you feel it will be necessary to add an additional scraping pattern for oil retention similar to a " Moore" pattern?
@gena_bazarko13 сағат бұрын
I am not aiming to achieve an extremely high level of surface accuracy on this machine-one that would justify applying a Moore pattern. Instead, I consider it sufficient that the oil will be retained in the many randomly distributed recesses left by the scraper. Additionally, in this machine, oil is supplied to the guideways under slight pressure, which also helps maintain proper lubrication in the sliding pair.
@Turnipko8 сағат бұрын
What is real accuracy of this autocollimator? The cross line is thick in comparison to minute scale. So detection of subarcseconds is hard, dont you think?

Amazing work. Now for the work table?
@gena_bazarko21 сағат бұрын
That's right! The work table will only need to be measured for the screw bend, during scraping of its mating (paired to those already aligned on the bed) surfaces. This is much easier. I have already done this work, filmed the material, and am preparing a video.

how did you monitor.control twist of the flat guide?
@gena_bazarko11 сағат бұрын
This is shown in this video in the animation. I took these measurements with a second bubble level.

Excellent presentation Gena. Maybe someone can use AI to generate a Gena Bazarko accented voice for the synthesizer ;-)
@wktodd18 сағат бұрын
Gena: there is a free AI voice cloning service called 'Speechify' that may be able to use the speech that you have already recorded , to generate a text-to-speech model using your own English Voice.
