I absolutely love Control and I listen to some of the soundtrack almost every day. Fun non-spoilerish fact : the songs in Control are written and performed by the band Poets of the Fall (don't look them up Nate, it might spoil you), and they're the ones who wrote and performed the songs in Alan Wake, the ones that are said to be from the fictional band Old Gods of Asgard. One of the songs in Control is even listed as a song from Old Gods of Asgard, which is really neat.

Rockstar didn't tell Remedy to "f off" and they weren't under rockstar. They were always independent. They sold the rights to Max Payne to take 2 after the first one. They made the sequel, it didn't do so well. Remedy didn't want to make a 3rd one. Then they went Xbox exclusive. Remedy got offers to play Max Payne 3 before release. Sam lake said he liked it. Now after their exclusivity deal with Xbox expired remedy has partnered up with rockstar again to remake Max Payne 1 and 2. Their relationship has always been amicable as far as we know.

It's not Remedy didn't want to do the 3rd Max Payne game, they need the money to build their own engine, so they sold it, and put the hope on Alan Wake

I mean the ashtray maze isn’t really amazing because of the story it’s more of the experience of playing that makes it badass so even if it is spoiled I doubt it would affect the experience

This game is in my top 3 games of all time, I recently replayed it at 4K with ray tracing. The remedy trilogy of Alan wake, quantum break and control are phenomenal

I really hope I can get a PS5 before Alan wake 2 is out. For those that say just build a PC because I know you're out there. I had a PC before it died and I prefer console for multiple reasons along with the fact I cannot spend a couple thousand getting parts to build a good PC and I also don't have the time to figure out and build one. I'd rather beat my head against the wall waiting for anywhere to have ps5 in stock and hope I got the money for it at the time.
