Mine just turned up. It's very very good. Insanely better than the old Tradfri rotary dimmer. I prefer it even to the Nuimo bluetooth controller.

This uses Spotify volume so if your Spotify can control Multiroom then yes

You'd need a zigbee hub with IR blaster or custom coordinator. I use switchbot hub to send IR signals to my devices. Even though it's a Bluetooth bridge, it has API exposed and you cold link the trigger from Symfonisk via nodered and issue volume up command

@@notenoughtech interesting,, this seems more straight forward compared to Rasssbery PI plan that made me more confused and would be more more costly (as I have to pay someone to program it for me). Can you share what zigbi hub should I buy? Or Swtchbut hub would do the job? I have Switch butt hub , also have flic hub with IR. How should I link these items in a chain, and how to program them?

@@MinimalUnbox if you already have a raspberry pi, the custom coordinator can be as cheap as $4 (cc2531) and NodeRED flows are very simple. Look into NodeRED tutorials for beginners I have and you will see it's not as hard as you think. As per hub, I only used the switchbot one with IR but that's not the only option. Pick something that is well supported

@@notenoughtech I don’t have the rPi. I have to buy it. I was hoping I can try what you said before with Switch Bot and Symfonisk. You mentioned I should have a zigbee hub to do that. Can Hue hub, or IKEA Tradfri hub work a zigbee for my purpose? I also have Lutron hub. If not, can you tell me what zigbee hub do you recommend to buy? I also have zero zero experience with coding or NodeRed. I looked at the website but I could understand anything. Can you advise where should I begin?

have you paired correctly? I only have the remote as I wanted to use it with my NodeRED stuff. So I don't own the speaker. I suspect you will need the hub for that from ikea

Is it possible to control Spotify with the controler whitout using a speaker? And is it possible to use it with other apps, such as KZbin?

You could remap the controls. Spotify also has API which can be used to control the playback. You can bind the controller to other actions too

My symfonisk remote on Zigbee2mqtt (CC2531 and NodeRed) keeps falling asleep after a couple of minutes and cannot be wakened by clicking/turning. Did you have the same behaviour and if yes did you found a solution to keep the device alive?
