Is this shown in the Advanced Users Guide. I have always saved to the smartcard via the 0.30 set to program. This is written on the smartcard.

Hello, There are various ways to have to the smart card. When doing the save in 0.30 you can only save to file location 1. Where as with the way shown you can save up to 999 files depending on space on the card. In the advanced user guide you will see this command on Pg. 16 in a table of commands that can be given in Mxx.P00

driver is changing auto to open loop to vector mode. what is the reason. do i need to do any changes for communicating with a plc

i figured it out. the problem was in the plc. dry joints and loose connections. removed it cleaned well re-solder and works fine. There was a problem in existing VFD. it is dead.then i fixed another vfd and re configured it by manually with led pannel. when i tried to configure 0.48 it shows Open Loop. but i wanted to change this to closed loop vector to communicate with plc but it didnt hold. so then i found 11.31 also need to change and save in 1001. thank you for your earliest reply.

In order to change the drive mode from Open Loop to Closed Loop Vector, you must enter a "1254" into M0.P00 then change the drive mode from open loop to closed loop in 0.48. Please note when changing the drive mode it will default all parameters to the closed loop USA defaults. If you need EUR defaults then you will enter a "1253" into M0.P00 instead. There is no way to change the drive mode without defaulting the drive as different drive modes have different parameter sets. Hope this helps.

Hello, There is no way on-board the drive to restore all erased parameters if you have defaulted the drive. However as long as you have the parameter file (test.par) then you can use CTSoft to download the parameters back to the drive or use the smart card if you have downloaded parameters to the card to restore the drives parameters.

We have SP1406 with resolver and it is indicating SL3.Er (Option module bay X trip: Option module in bay X has detected a fault ) and SL3.HF (Option module bay X trip: Option module X hardware fault). What can we do for solve it? Thank you

I apologize for the delay in response. If you are receiving a SL3.HF fault, that is typically due to an issue that is outside of your control to fix. We have seen where if the module is not making good contact with the drive (not fully seated on the drive) then this can cause a HF fault. You could try to move the module to a different slot to see if they works. Otherwise you may need a new module. If you visit our website we do offer option modules for sale.

Hello, if you are changing out an encoder you will want to change parameters in Menu 3. Specifically M03.P034, lines per revolution, and M03.P038, Device type if you are using a different type of encoder.

M00.P49 will be the security code for locking the drive from parameters being written too or read. If you go to M00.P00, enter the 110 and perform a reset, the drive should be unlocked after that.

You will perform a save by entering a "1000" into M00.P00 and selecting the Red Reset button. If you do this after you change the pole value it will be saved in the drives memory.

Hello, I am not exactly sure what a external start parameter is. Unless you are referring to controlling the drive via communications then you could write to a Menu 6 bit or to the control word in menu 6 as long as you enable control word control.
