Control Your Anger

This is for me. I find myself so angry these days, I don't know why. I agree that anger is like a drug, and it is addictive and like most addictions its not good for you. I want to get over my anger with the grace of God.

Very bad idea to never use anger in defense of yourself. We are never isolated to ONLY ourselves. If you fail to rebuke someone attacking you, they will go on and attack someone else, and themselves in the end. Yes, MOST of the time you suffer small injustices, but not always. Once anger is bridled, it is always used correctly, even in defense of oneself.

We have to look at our environment: friendships, relationships at work, etc Old testament mentions not to befriend angry people. Dont give corrections to a fool - proverbs Then new Testament like Colossians mentions " remove anger and wrath from your mouth" If we keep angry people as our friends, if you are a calm person, at some point, you will not go along. I tried this myself. In the end, angry people are high conflict personality as mentioned by psychology, same with bible. It wont work.

The problem with this is that anger is a natural reaction. It happens involuntarily. So a natural, involuntary reaction is a sin? Tough to figure that one out. Might be a good idea to tone down some of the clip art too. It can be over the top.

Yes, but the infirmities of our natural fallen state can be tempered, this just indicates that they should be.

It's certainly difficult. But you could say that for all of our human failings. Lust happens naturally, for example. Still a sin the moment we entertain it.

It is not easy. We ask God the Holy Spirit for the grace of control. This anger management is truly a spiritual journey. We can not do this alone. But if we ask for God to help us. To open our hearts first. To be more patient when people fail us. So we can slowly remove anger, insults, and wrath in our hearts. " remove anger, insults/slander, wrath in your mouth" - Colossians If we ask God's help, he will answer definitely.

Sometimes God's justice takes into effect after a long time. But it will. " you reap what you sow" So if evil people attacked you, they will reap their evil fruits in the end. On the otherhand, we ourselves should place a boundary from these attackers. Assert and refuse to be bullied. " depart from evil" is mentioned in the old testament God wants us to be in an environment with Kind people too. Walk with wise people and you will be wise - proverbs Who are these wise people? Those who reflect on God's words as wisdom and apply it in our lives. Do not befriend angry people - proverbs
