"Anger is like flowing water; there's nothing wrong with it as long as you let it flow. Hate is like stagnant water; anger that you denied yourself the freedom to feel, the freedom to flow; water that you gathered in one place and left to forget. Stagnant water becomes dirty, stinky, disease-ridden, poisonous, deadly; that is your hate. On flowing water travels little paper boats; paper boats of forgiveness. Allow yourself to feel anger, allow your waters to flow, along with all the paper boats of forgiveness. Be human." ― C. JoyBell C.

Thank you Father. 3 Hail Mary's for you. I haven't talked to a brother in a couple years, yet I really don't want to be around him, as I know for sure that he is in a state of serious sin for a long time, and maybe there's a crowd of demons around him.

I am sure you pray for him ,esp the rosary, for his conversion. You can add fasting and other penances or sacrifices. United to the holy mass and given through Our Lady's hands to the Father, these will help your brother tremendously. Also as his sister, you can consecrate your brother to Our Lady and ask St Joseph to watch over him. You can also actually offer masses regularly for his conversion and the saving of his soul. Such actions will bring about great changes in his soul. Remember that , with God and Our Lady, you are not helpless regarding your brother and you can assist him greatly without having to be physically near him. 😊🙏💖

So what anger is mortal and what is venial? Saying “ahhhhhhhh” in anger toward your children or husband is a mortal sin? Spanking is a mortal sin? Impatience with children is a mortal sin? So just the beginnings of anger when your feel it is venial? I have horrible moods swings and PMS so apparently I’m outta luck. I guess being a mom is going to send me to hell because I can only find time to pray one uninterrupted Rosary a day and though I’d like to pray the whole thing as she asked, I can’t daily. I want to be free of any semblances of anger but honestly, this is just down right depressing. It’s extremely difficult as a woman to have no emotions. I think I’d be apt to follow Aquinas on this.

I showed anger towards a priest who was very inappropriate toward me. The diocese looked at the anger , not what he did to me. I've had a hard time getting over it, because they got rid of me.

CalGirl20 I’m having a difficult time also A friend I drove to mass with me told me last week that when she asked a priest a question He brushed her off saying he had to go hear confessions This “friend” said she answered “YOURE NOT JESUS! It hurt me for how tragically wrong the priest probably took that accusation And for the last two masses I haven’t offered to drive her to mass Was there a true offense here? On whose part? I think we all need to be strong courageous with true compassion not false Choose our words carefully I recall my bilingual mom once said in her superior wisdom Son if you tell someone “did you understand me”? You’re calling him stupid But if you ask. “Did I make myself understood “? Then you’re not So much in the English language can be taken the wrong way I think French and English have an built in prejudice What happened to Father ? In the Spanish language it remains an endearing title Papa papito padrecito Arc Which allows the parishioner asking “ padrecito I tink u hurt my feelings”

We should not criticize our priests rather we should pray fervently for them. The days are coming when we will cry out to God for even the most vanilla of masses. Yes they brought this on themselves but the seminary's were rotten to the core and we are suffering from that bad fruit. Consecrate yourselves to the blessed mother and pray for good priests.

What about anger toward injustice or cruelty? Also, was our Lord in a serene disposition when he smashed tables and threw money-changers out of the temple? I think a lot of people would have appreciated a little more clarification in this. The photos were very funny, BTW.

Praise God for priests who speak the truth to those who do not want to hear it LOL ....You can see it in the comments below " but ....but .... but". Please Lord help me overcome my anger in all it's forms, and embrace Your humility and meekness. Help us to be Saints before we leave this earthly life ! Amen.
