Great job Lee, nice work for a cold time of year. With the shredder it's move on to the next job instead of a trip to the dump with an overflowing trailer. Plus free mulch to sell on. 😁

Many don’t seem to think about the future when planting trees. Especially conifers which can’t be reduced like many deciduous trees.

Had a similar job to do recently but advised the client to wait till June as the cherry and plum can suffer with the disease ‘silver leaf’ if pruned during the winter. In this case they were happy to wait as they didn’t want to risk the trees health.

Lee you make it look so easy, it looked great at the end. What is the grey stuff you use when sowing new grass seed? Looks greyish on video I have watched you sow grass seed before but not sure what the last bit you put on the soil. Your grass always looks lovely and we are always trying to improve our grass but with no success. Love those ladders too!! Keep doing what you are doing👍👍👍👍

I really wish a couple of customers would let me prune their trees, I keep saying they are going to get too big to control. and expensive to remove. One I have pruned 3 years ago, but it needs doing again, just pollarding to keep it nice and tidy and under control. not using the mower Lee :P .

Last comment, have you had any experience with out of control non blooming Wisteria? Mine won't bloom but will vine off like crazy. Hacked it straight to the ground but it comes right back taking over everything. It may not be in your growing zone. Seems to be a southern usa plant.
@LHLgardenservices5 жыл бұрын
It depends if the plant has been grown from seed or grafted. It can take up to seven years to flower if it wasnt grafted. 👍

No mate..not yet 😂😂😂 this is why it's took me so long to get them. just time 🕛
@wayneessar74895 жыл бұрын
Stand alone pole saws can be great! Try a Stealth red 13ft. or green 22ft. with the Silky Acrobat blade on it. I prune mostly large evergreens and fruit trees. The add on ones are a pain because the rope for the loppers and that heavy stuff at the end makes them less useful.
@LHLgardenservices5 жыл бұрын
@@wayneessar7489 When I get one Wayne it will be just a saw mate..no ropes or large gizmos at the top 👍👍

@@LHLgardenservices I don't know if the kind I wrote about is sold over there. They needs careful storage in your van because it is carbon fiber and fiberglass. You can't throw it down on pavers but the thing is very stiff and light and strong. The locks allow you to use any length you like, not decided by the buttons like the Silky. The blade is sharpen able and has a set but still cuts very smooth. In Canada sold by Big Bear tools.

I'm not sure Acer palmatum are meant to be hard pruned back like this mate. I've read never take more than a third off as it can weaken the tree drastically. Progressive pruning over seasons is recommended with Japanese maples. There also prone to fungal disease apparently. Hope it comes back for you fella👍

Ha ha ...I once read the earth is flat 🤔...No...I know what you are saying and you are right..there are pitfalls with gardening..There can be lots of dos and donts but as I keep saying I garden my way and it's all about experience!!
