Enjoy the garden tour with my dad! I do believe doing a thick plastic is the way to go. Solarization will kill off the weeds in the summer and then you can layer the new compost or other organic matter.

Roofing tarp not accessible for me/petrochemicals... PLEASE RECOMMEND A BLACK PLASTIC SHEETING /AND OR TARPS I need to apply to an area for about A YEAR to remedy English ivy root/visually the surface is clean I need to do this to remedy underground residue (it is a long-standing stubborn bed now cleared above surface).
