One can not control the environment, one can only control his perception of the environment. Controlling your opponent is something else. But one can not control the environment, especially not the fans..

You missed the point. Of course you cannot literally control every person in the crowd. But if you’re dominating your opponent, no amount of heckling by fans or cheerleaders cheering is going to be able to influence the match.
