Casey badger should have been hooked from the tigers game a couple of weeks ago. With all the training and technology available it feels like the quality of refereeing is going down not up.

Thanks to the gambling industry were forced to endure controversial decisions and over analysis of the entire game. On one side of the coin you take the bunker away and fans accept poor decisions but enjoy the product that is rugby league. Other side of the coin is NRL loose betting money.

You wouldn't hear anything about it because the decision was fine. He had lost the ball prior to grounding. There's tons of hairline decisions throughout the game. Plenty went against the Knights in the first half.

A couple of things: Hasler is mistaken: more than one player can be involved in a tackle and legally strip where the attacking player is in the act of scoring, which Kelly was. Secondly, I have watched the replay numerous times and find no evidence of separation, only the slightest bobble but no loss of control. Deferral to on field decision of try seemed the appropriate call.

You can strip the ball with more than one in the tackle in a try scoring situation . Section 11 in the rule book. Pretty straightforward. Probably need to fine coaches when they bag refs especially when the ref was right.

It's up to the fans to keep the Officials accountable. Petition them. Comment on the NRL website. Call into the shows & share opinions. The power is in numbers . Without the fans the NRL is done. This is becoming bigger than just a few clubs getting picked on. It's looking like the officials are match fixing. The calls are that blatant. We have AI today. I bet some clever IT expert could make a program that would make the calls based on the rules to the letter. No interpretation just facts. Then we'll see how above board the officials are.

There's close calls all throughout the games these days but that's the way it's always been. If Des is looking to blame someone, he should have a talk with the player who deliberately took out the Knights guy in the in goal area resulting in a Penalty Try. That was ill discipline and cost them the game.
