The guy you're responding to is essentially correct in that the post-race inspection showed that some barcodes didn't correspond with those on Abt's car's technical passport. I was confused about the same thing and looked it up.

Why was there any controversy over the bollard? It absolutely makes sense that it would denote track limits, otherwise you could just straight up ignore the chicane and keep going at full throttle. Why even have turns if you can just drive straight through them? You touch the bollard, you went too far off the track. Simple.

I'd say this every time a camera is put in front of me: "I'm thrilled to be here. Racing is my dream, and It's wonderful to be here. I hope that we put on a good show for all the fans. Thank you very much." The reporter says: "What do you think about driver X hitting you?" Me: "It's great to be here, racing is my dream come true. Thank you." In short, who cares about the melodrama happening on the track? The group that runs the race series has designed everything to produce exactly what happens. They give them narrow tracks to make passing almost impossible. It gets the cars all piled up on each other and that looks more exciting than having them all strung out with big gaps between them. The organizers also make the tracks incredibly kinky to slow them down and pile them up. It's all designed to make a bunch of relatively slow cars look really exciting. I think the third generation cars will be powerful enough to be raced like formula 1 cars, and not need all the tricks they are doing now.
