It depends on how Newey will prioritize his time when he joins the team. He may put most of his effort in designing the 2026 car that can help Alonso secure a win. Or he may even put some efforts on the upgrades for the 2025 cars to show the team his magic in preparation for 2026, and potentially help Alonso secure a win there. Either way, we will be stoked to see if Alonso can score a victory on the 20th anniversary of his Double-One championship win. @@jamespoole3531 Yes, but look at the current teams. Aston Martin got Newey. And the top 4 teams will always be up there (Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren). There are so many teams now at the top that I don't think a single team could dominate.

@@Dxbestani Red Bull had newey back in 2014 too, didn't help them in that engine reset. You're speaking with recency bias - if someone had told the F1 community that multiple teams would be winning races 12 months ago, they would've been laughed at. The reason that so many teams are at the top now is because we're several years into these aero regulations. That's all going to change when the teams have to stop pursuing these concepts and come up with a totally new one for 2026. Like I said, one team will nail it, the rest of the order will be reset and the grid will be playing catchup. I don’t agree with the fact that Charles and Carlos never had a car to fight for the championship, because in 2022 they had but themselves and the team didn’t take profit and they lost a big amount of points that could give them specially for Charles the opportunity to fight for the title until Abudhabi or at least to have options until the end, because the car was so fast it’s just that they couldn’t put all the elements perfectly like Redbull and Max did.

Leclerc, Norris and George have all had chances to show if they’re on the level of a Max, Alonso or Lewis. And they’ve shown they’re not. The fact that Alonso and Hamilton put in the 2nd and 3rd best drives in 2023 shows that in spades. So, yeah, Alonso, Hamilton and Verstappen really are freaks of nature. What a travesty that, even if Newey comes through immediately, Alonso had to wait so long to get a car worthy of a GOAT. And those who say he made bad driver moves are clueless: he timed his move to McLaren from Renault at the perfect time. Moving back to Renault was not a choice. Ferrari was the best opportunity on the table when he signed for them. Everyone thought McLaren and Honda would be an awesome combo. Alpine was his only option to return and he made a great call to leave for AM. So, where are his bad decisions?

He could've joined RedBull in 2008 instead of Renault and won more titles. Alonso declined RedBull
@nocrega5 күн бұрын
@@OnlineHipHopTV He did, but who would have guessed they would be a championship winning team? It made a lot more sense to make the contract with Ferrari, a prestigious team, and sit in the reanult a couple more years than signing with a drinks company in its early years in the sport

@@OnlineHipHopTV My point isn’t that he didn’t make zero mistakes, but that he made the same move 99% of us would have made at the time.

Mark my cynical yet truthful words: Liberty Media will surely find a way to $crew up the next few season$ of f1. If it's not the inconsistent 'rules' and penalties doled out differently for various drivers e.g. World Champions, it will be a surplus of more mediocre street tracks so conveniently nestled within sprawling metropolis' such as Madrid, Chicago, and Miami therefore cancelling out driver as well as fan favorites like Spa. We get the huge expense it would cost races to continue in Germany for now, but not returning there or to India, Malaysia or even Vietnam for its maiden race is almost akin to Bernie E still running things. The potential for yet another street track happening in Chicago and even yet again New York/New Jersey in the United States!!! The mere idea is too much. COTA was fine and yet not enough. Why not just merge with formula E right now?! The cars remain too heavy, too big and we' re just another generation away from remote controlled cars. But, leave the drivers so the fans can admire their favorites. Not that they're really showing their true skill sets with the way technology has overtaken the essence of actual racing. Like it or not, the entertainment of f1 is no longer a sport.

People keep over hyping Max's dominance. It was One Year of Goatness. (2022 is debateable) Lewis & Mercedes held F1 hostage for 7 Years. Damn near 8 years of greatness.

What amazes me people were quick to hype up Maz and talk about the fact he could race with anything and win...lol Also Max himself and Norris dissed Lewis talking about he only wins cause he is in the best car and other derogatory statements. Now look at both of them...Max is no where and the sad thing is its being covered up why and Norris who recently dissed Lewis again in the cool down room has what has now been agreed is the best car but cant win for toffee and if I am honest I think Piastri who is in his 2nd year is already living rent free in Landos head.. Im really conflicted cause I dont really want Max to win the champs or Red Bull so I will grin an bear it if Lando gets it but will be happy for McLaren if the get constructors

Max has claimed more records between 2021-2024 than Hamilton has in his whole career. The fact that Hamilton holds 0 seasonal records despite having more than 12 championship contending cars and some of the most dominant cars ever just shows how average the guy is compared to the likes of Max and Schumacher who always maximized their cars. Max even has a higher career win% DESPITE having WAY worse cars on average in his career.
