I’m glad you addressed the OF situation. Modern feminism is trying to sell sex work as women empowerment, while a few might be freely and consciously choosing that path, that is not the case for the majority. It is the illusion of choice.

So intensely agree with your wedding comment! As the daughter of parents who got married at a court house by themselves and their witnesses in jeans and sweaters, I have never wanted a big wedding. I've always wanted it to just be a special day with the person I love and luckily I've found a man who completely agrees with me. We're gonna say our vows at the court house with close family members and then go on a long honeymoon.

I didn't get social media until I was 16 and between the ages of 16-18 just 2 years of being on social media I developed an eating disorder, became obsessed with looking skinny, I could no longer look in mirrors I covered them up because I didn't understand photoshop/airbrushing was a thing back then & would spend all my money on laser treatments to try get my skin looking "flawless" I became to depressed & anxious yet before social media I was always on my bike with friends outside and didn't even think or care about my acne then as I had nothing to compare it to! Crazy how it can change us. In a better space now at 26 surrounding social media I use Instagram a little but mainly just use KZbin now it has a different vibe here :)

I agree with your opinions, especially the only fans and the alcohol one. My problem with weddings is that I cannot figure out how to have the balance. I don't really want a big wedding, but I feel like in my country at least, even a small wedding cannot really save you that much money. I think my biggest problem is that I imagine a wedding in the nature, with flowers. Where the problem comes in: photographer is about 3000, videographer is also about 3000. I know the decoration is a lot as well. So even if I only think about video, photography and decorations it adds up to a lot of money. Also wedding venues in my country are pretty nasty. They have different prices per person based on how many people you host, if the people are fewer the cost per person rises. For example: 60 people = 165 per person, 80 people = 145 per person, 100 people = 125 per person. So you can see my point. Another thing is that I live in the capital of my country, so it is more expensive compared to the other parts of the country, but at the same time 90% of my family and friends live in my city, so even if i choose a cheaper destination, the cost of accommodating the guests would make it the same and even worse. Wedding business is an awful affair and they try to get you in man different ways.

I feel this! I’ve been in retail for three years, but customer service for almost 5. The person I was before is no more…I applied for retail to work on my people skills and now I realize the general public just isn’t something I like dealing with 😭 I also find it so strange how many people come in when the store is closing and act entitled to stay past closing. Before working in retail, I used to get serious anxiety if a store was about to close within an hour, like it just seems rude!! But the store I work at frowns upon us pushing people out past closing 😒 (we got in trouble for letting people know it was time to leave) Agree with the social media, I got social media in high school and it was bad because being a relationship as a teenager with social media opened up a black hole

Totally agree about Onlyfans - it's really worrying!! 😔 I am really concerned about the impact of social media on teens or younger as well. I am 29 and even Bebo/Facebook/KZbin had me going through an ED, worried about my body... Let's not get onto the exposure to pornography at far too young an age, it rewires your brain. Thanks SO much for talking about sex trafficking! It happens here in the UK each day and we need to protect women and girls more than ever.

I agree with the retail work! In our friend group we usually talk about how working "for the public" (we usually refer to food and restaurant industry since it is what we experienced) gave us more empathy both as workers and as customers. This works make you mature so so fast! Plus, I think that gets too overlooked when people say they want to "work on themselves and grow", as in we focus on working on the self, but not so much on ourselves as members of a community. It was very nice to see that you also got a similar experience! Thanks for the video!❤

I honestly agree with the point about cheating, ESPECIALLY in marriage. I know so many men who never break up with their partner when they aren't happy anymore, but instead cheat because it's somehow easier for them. Like stop being a bunch of pussy's and just break up with the person. If you want to cheat, you don't want to be in the relationship you're in. It is really not hard to just not cheat.

oh yes I totally agree on the social media thing as well. there should be much more regulations. So, regarding tumblr, do you think talking about things like self-harm therefore can "motivate" people to actually engage in such behaviour? instead of doing the opposite of making it more spoken about and normalized (which I guess, is the intention).

personally, I find it so weird to have alcohol at parties of children (like baby showers, children's birthday, etc). Like I cannot drink in front of a child. Maybe because I grew up in a household were alcohol was not commonly consumed (in a casual way).

I’d never been much of a drinker (except in my first year at uni) but by the time I’d finished university I just stopped drinking all together because I didn’t see the point, and especially since I had my son, I have even less interest in alcohol. But every time I go round to my brothers house I have to explain that I don’t drink and yet he will always try to offer me a glass of wine and I always feel like I’m treated like I’m weird for not wanting to drink!? i agree with all the points you made, although the working in retail one surprised me a little (like i didnt expect it XD). i think it ties in with an opinion of mine that i think it should be mandatory for teenagers to have a part time job while theyre still in school. even if its like only at their local corner shop stocking shelves or something. the second i left school i already had a sense of what the outside world was like, like what it meant to be responsible for myself, i had to plan my route from school to my local, make sure i got there early and then the general sense of knowing how to organise my daily routine so that i was doing all the school work i had and also had free time. also if its paid work, they get to learn responsibility around money, learn how to budget or save up for something meaningful that they really want, as opposed to spending all their money on sweets or junk thats only really harmful for them.

Laws are for enforcing rights. There is no right that states you must only ever have healthy relationships. Also, Lawsuits take *_Forever_* to resolve. D'you really want the person who cheated on you to be entangled in your life for the next 3yrs?!... As adults, if we want to be free to pursue any relationships we wish with consenting people, then we must accept the bad along with the good. I mean the more I think about weddings the more I would just elope and if the parents wanted to put on a party, then that's on them. My boyfriend's dad loves a party, and my mum would love to see me in a bridal dress so maybe we'd be convinced to do an evening do for the parents, but I'd rather be a guest to the reception, than be paraded around and not get to eat the yummy food I've paid for.

Making cheating illegal is like saying "I own you." It'd be used as a way to control who women have sex with. Also it would be so problematic to legally define what cheating is. You'd have men being like "I don't like your relationship with this male friend, so I'm going to sue you for cheating." I could write a whole essay on why this is wrong.
@thetheatricallinguist4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I'm definitely not condoning cheating, but saying 'just leave if you want to cheat, it's that easy' is a massive oversimplification. Some people can be absolutely miserable in a relationship (including a marriage) and not have the means to leave. It's not right to cheat, but you can see how some people might in that situation and then is it fair for them to be punished? Making it illegal would make the whole thing very paternalistic.

I'm a bisexual in egypt lmao FUN) people are still going to be who they are and do things that are in their nature if someone is naturally a cowardly scumbag who would cheat instead of leaving they're going to do it anyway because whether it's illegal or not they're already trying to escape the consequences of their actions by trying to avoid a divorce or leaving their partner

I’m 26 with 2 children and a weekend away is rare let alone a week or 2 weeks we definitely made the right decision to spend one great day and night with our family and friends and each other and spent the day falling in love all over again with each other because our kids were very kindly minded by my parents for 3 whole nights. To relive that time again with each other I would definitely spend the money all over again 😁 while when I was younger I had the same opinion as yourself sometimes life goes in a different direction than you originally plan 😁 it’s definitely personal preference 🩷
