Controversy of TSD : Secret Army Intelligence Unit

This video is about TSD i.e Technical Support Division.
It was an ad hoc Indian Army Military Intelligence unit formed in 2010 under the then Chief of Army Staff General V K Singh. After the functioning of the TSD was questioned for falling prey to politics, including politics between the three military chiefs, among other things, it was disbanded in 2012 following the retirement of General V K Singh after all officers assigned to the division were transferred out and nobody new replaced them.

Tsd is known now but there are hundreds of units started and vanished..many are punished for no reason some are tried in civil court as well..my uncle was a radio operator spent 35 days in Kashmir under police custody along with his 3 friends..no news about his platoon, we tried command hq, his company commander, nobody responded..the same day the platoon went missing ..some 4 jawans and an officer were killed in another area..after so much struggle..we got the call saying that they are fine in safe hands..later they instructed my dad and my uncle not to talk about the incident..and that this incident never happened...later my uncle went to UN..one went to Corps battle school..and the officer incharge deputed to Assam rifles.

Tsd should be resurrected with same officers and I think officers all military status and privileges should be given back to these officers. TSD was an vital sharp asset for the country it just got lost due to congress politics. India I guess needs such assets which can hit beyond enemy lines. Resurrect it if is needed. If Pakistan is failing in Kashmir it is warming up Khalistan. Challenges as such would always be there for the country.

Sir , The existing arrangement is implemented with in-depth study . The system works perfectly during field tenures . During peace tenures , the mismanagement generally occurs due to the wives of Officers and JCOs . But , there is another problem , the Sahayak duties assigned to a female Officer , in a all male Unit . There is no ready answer . I feel sorry .
