We need to be reminded that our greatest enemy is not the devil, rather it is our mind. The mind is the gateway to the soul as the heart is the gateway to our human spirit. We use our mind in many of our decisions and it prevents us to use the mind of Christ! Romans 8:14 mentions that to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace... 1 Cor 2:14 tells us that the natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. We need to to recognize that our mind needs to conform to His mind and then we can enter that rest (life and peace and hear clearly from the Lord); otherwise we are allowing our mind to interfere with what the Lord says we should be thinking.
