lady gaga and bradley cooper and the rest of the cast deserve ALL THE AWARDS. this film was perfection and so are they

I went to this movie because my beautiful wife wanted to see it. I. was. blown. away. Went back to see it in the middle of the week alone. This movie affected me, as all great movies do. It stayed with me. Blown away by Cooper's talent and clearly evident intelligence. Blown away by Lady Gaga's acting and her natural look in this movie. Love the music. I can't wait for the DVD release so that I can watch it yet again, and again, and again.

Jason Taylor - you sound just like my husband. He wasn't really interested in seeing the movie so I went with my sisters and came home and told him he would have really liked it. He waited until it was out on DVD and watched it alone. He called me at work and was like "Wow". He fell in love with Gaga's natural look and of course was blown away by her talent.

I remember when Lady Gaga first came out, I despised her. I couldn't stand to look at her, I couldn't stand to listen to her, And I didn't see the big deal about her..... Now I see it! I totally fell in love with this Beautiful creature. she is wonderful.!... This movie gave me a chance to learn her, and understand her. I wish I would have never felt that way about her. I'm hooked!!!! I tip my hat to Bradley Cooper. Phenomenal job ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!..... And Sam Elliott!!!... Living legend!!!

It's quite remarkable what they pulled off. It was a risk to for all involved to jump into the 4th retelling of A Star is Born withBradley Cooper who has never directed before and Lady Gaga who hasn't been a lead actress in a film. The risk meant they poured so much heart into the film and that has obviously resonated with audiences around the world! It's tough to pull of a film with weighty messages and social commentary whilst being commercial and they did it! Hats off to them they deserve all the accolades.

And they achieved all that on a pretty thin budget. It doesn’t come around often, if ever. It’s pleasing to see everyone acknowledging each other’s total commitment. Bravo!

It was the most honest movie, I've seen in awhile. This is one side of life that people want to pretend doesn't exist. But it does. I'm a realist, life is sometimes wonderful and other times so painful that you feel all alone in your pain. We live in a time of "positively". So many will turn and run from any negatively because they fear it will somehow affect them. I appreciate the raw emotions of this film. These things happen in REAL life and it cant be escaped by creating a fantasy world around you, where everything is happy and free. I saw where they were catching some flack for not providing a more positive ending, like finding him before it was too late and offering hope to someone suffering. The truth of the matter, having been there myself, all hope is gone, you just want to know you arent alone and someone out there understands your pain. I dont think it will push anyone to end it, if anything, it brings hope to them out of a sad situation. I think for what it was, it was done very tactfully.

This is by far the best interview I've seen on A Star is Born, thank you so much! While other interviewers are asking "Bradley what was it like to direct from a bathtub, was that really hard to do while you were naked" This interview is genuinely getting into the heart of what it was like to be both director & actor & where the line is & how the 2 are separated & the 3 actors/director are really responding with thought out, interesting answers that give genuine incite into the production process. My only complaint is that it was too short! Shame it wasn't one of the 1hr 20 minute interviews. Would have been EASILY enough material available to fill that time! Great job though!

I absolutely loved the relationship between the two brothers. I thought it was the strongest in the movie. But I do think the reason why the movie strikes a chord with so many people is because of the complexity of the relationships of the characters. And the variation in the different types of relationships of those characters. The diversity and the issues this movie deals with pulls in a wide amount of people. Jackson is a lot more loving and docile with Ally . Totally different then the way he is with his brother. Yet you can really sense their tight bond. The way Sam leans in every time he talks to Jackson due to his hearing difficulties you really believe they are brothers and they've been doing that their whole lives. I know this one really hits home with me because I've witnessed the way old fashioned tough men interact. The way Sam's eyes well up when he's backing out of the lane way really got me. He was never going to get out of that truck and if he had it wouldn't have been true to the characters. I remember watching my father and grandfather interact they never hugged, they never said I love you and yet you never had to wonder whether they did. Jackson knew how his brother felt about him and I don't know that there is anything that could have been said to change the outcome.maybe delayed it. Jackson had an illness. The film moved me and I felt the whole range of emotions. Actually enraged me at the end. But any movie that has you that invested is a good one. I was on the edge of my seat and leaning forward by the end. I've lost a close personal friend to suicide. So I was actually upset.
@Nazaba095 жыл бұрын
Shayne O'Dwyer ally treated Jackson better than Bobby did. It was just that simple. Just by the way they incorporated her coming up with ‘shallow’ on the spot about him, she got him. She knew how broken he was. Bobby underestimated how bad things were.

The last name of Maine was used in many of the various versions. In this version he is named Jackson Maine. When James Mason played the part with Judy Garland, his name was Norman Maine.
