I am sorry that he is gone. He was one of my favorite teachers in Chicago. He could have lived a little longer.

He seemed to be very humble and down to earth, is ssd he's gone.. To bad his theory was the opposite and it's the definition of delusional, going to show that Nobel in Economics is most of times awarded for political and ideological reasons, not because true cientific achievements.

social choices are a function of individual choices. Therefore, individual choices are a function of social choices. If social choices are intransitive, then individual choices are as well. Therefore, rational choice theory is not rational, or even coherent in its own terms.

You can have interdependent preferences and choice matrices. Also you can have institutional feedback effects within your preference matrices under neoclassical or rational choice models. You don't know the literature well enough to make an informed comment... So shut up

economic forecasts are always wrong by unacceptable margins. Therefore economics should not guide policy. Keep your beautiful abstractions to yourself.

Think of economists like doctors for the economy. Medicine and diagnosis may not be perfect, but it is prudent to listen to your doctor.

@@Wolcik3000 The Bank funds the prize but the winner is still picked by an independent committee of experts chosen by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences same as the prizes in physics and chemistry, it's just not sponsored by the original endowment.
