Conversations with Wagner Moura of NARCOS

Q&A with Wagner Moura of NARCOS. Moderated by Daniel Fienberg, The Hollywood Reporter.
The Golden Globe nominated series Narcos chronicles the gripping real-life stories of the drug kingpins of the late 1980s and the corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict. It details the conflicting forces - legal, political, police, military and civilian - that clash in an effort to control the world’s most powerful commodity: cocaine.
Narcos stars acclaimed Brazilian actor Wagner Moura (Elite Squad) as Pablo Escobar alongside Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl) and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) as real-life DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Peña.
José Padilha (Elite Squad) serves as executive producer along with Eric Newman (Children of Men), and the team of creators Chris Brancato (Hannibal) and Carlo Bernard & Doug Miro (Sorcerer’s Apprentice). Narcos is produced by Gaumont International Television for Netflix.

I find it very fascinating that he had to learn a new language for this role. He nailed it! I understood everything he was saying without any problems. I really hope he comes out with more projects. Very very talented actor

Hey, try watching Elite Squad too, it's brilliant and one of the biggest brazilian movies of all times. He's on the other side though... As a police officer who wants to end the drug industry.

I love his version of pablo better than the real pablo. His character in narcos has a charm. Also the actor seems grounded and honest like when he confessed he only got the part because he was friends with the director or someone lol

it got better... but in episode 1 to 7 in the first season you could see his accent from 10miles away...
