Glad they’re helping. I’ll have more coming in the near future. In the process of moving, so stuff is a little crazy. Can’t wait to get back to the cnc and other projects though.

@@ChrisPowellFSD I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to add "texture" inside a circle. The one Carveco has done regarding inserting texture isn't very clear. I hope your move goes well. Happy Holidays! :)

I am in the middle of deciding which CNC to buy, and saving up to buy it. Having said that, I am also watching as much as I can about how CNC's work, and which software does what. I think this piece of software is going to be a very beneficial tool in my tool box.

I’m really liking it. There’s a lot to learn, but it just has so much to offer. What machines are you looking at?
@PaganWizard
@PaganWizard 4 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisPowellFSD There are two machines that I am interested in, the first being a OpenBuilds Workbee 1510 (60" x 40"), and the other is a CNC4newbies 4545, and TBH, I am leaning towards the OpenBuilds Workbee, because it seems to be more structurally stable, as well as expandable. The hardest part of my decision making debacle, is trying to pull together the $$$$ to make whichever purchase. I think that either machine will cost roughly $3000 USD's plus shipping.
@ChrisPowellFSD

Those sound like a couple of good options. I’ve been looking at some machines from cnc4newbie. I was really impressed with the z slider I got from them. I’ll have to look into open builds more. I hear good stuff about them.

Most likely. If it’s too rough, you might just have to manually draw the parts.

Very useful video and very helpful. One question, how can I ensure the result does not have any loops or overlapping points that will prevent me from making a toolpath?
@michaelvalenty9547
@michaelvalenty9547 2 жыл бұрын
You would have to use the node editing function. Zoom in on the vector with the loop or overlap and cutout or edit and then rejoin ending vectors to close the vector.

Good one Chris. Not too sure if you recall awhile back I asked for help with a navy emblem I was having problems converting it too work with CC. I was wondering if this is the solution for that? By the way, thanks again for all of the files you sent it was quite a bit. I owe you one for the help. Thinking towards Carveco Maker but was wondering if I need a internet connection all the time or can it be used off line? Thanks.

This definitely makes converting images a lot easier. You download the whole program to your computer. So you can use it without an internet connection.

Is there a way to resize them though carveco is great but difficult to understand
@ChrisPowellFSD

You should just be able to select the vector and there should be a resize button. I’ll have to take a look to see exactly what it is when I get to my computer

Any way to create vectors from a black and white photo?
@ChrisPowellFSD
@ChrisPowellFSD 3 жыл бұрын
You can do the same thing as in this video, but the images usually end up having a lot going on. Best is to manually trace the parts you want. You could also use another program to simplify the image first, or just bring it in and do a 3d carve. Carveco will interpret the light and dark colors as highs and lows.

I just use the onefinity.local drive. You just log into that on your computer and turn your onefinity on. Then when you open a file on your computer, it will also open on your onefinity.

I’ve been trying to use it more and more. I have so many files already made in CC, that are pretty easy to just jump back to, but eventually I’d like to start doing everything with Maker. I’m just running out of new stuff I can do with CC.
