73 year old granny here who found a pair of speakers at the swap shop wanting to make them work with my old stereo. Your video still rocks after all these years. I hope hey have been kind to you!

So glad I came across this video. Just finished setting up my home theater, and found an old subwoofer in my garage that I thought was shot. Switched out the fuse and it worked! The only issue was I needed a subwoofer cable that’s at least 25 feet and all I had was a 15 footer. Thanks to this video, I stripped down a few random rca’s that I no longer needed and used that! Now I have “dueling” subwoofers and a huge smile. 😁

I just found an radio/CD player system and the speakers would be really nice to have on my PC. Plus, it was still in the box untouched after 4 years of sitting in my storage room forgotten. Thanks for showing me how to make use of them.

I decided to pull out my old KEF PSW 2150 subwoofer that's been collecting dust for years. I'm fairly handy with basic connections, but I have never spliced open an RCA male jack. I needed to connect them to speaker wire as you have here. Thanks from Hong Kong!

Thanks man. I’ve been trying to do this for days. I didn’t understand how to hook up any of this. I’ve been trying to hook up my 12” sub to my speaker wires because I don’t have a nice head unit. Even my buddy was trying to help me figure it out but we’ve been completely dumbstruck about it. Than we came across a miracle. That’s your video man. This video was exactly what my buddy needed to remember that this is possible. Seriously, if I didn’t come across this video I would have gone home and cried to myself because we didn’t get it figured out. I owe you a million thanks for sharing this video. Every other KZbinr was no help to us. But you were different. You are blessing. Thank you for being such a kind young man. Thanks again. Thank you.

I kept coming across irrelevant videos as I wasn’t sure of the terminology to even search for and am happy I took a chance and clicked on your video… I believe this should help me hook up speakers that have spring hookups to my little record player which has a single red and white RCA holes… I think anyways… 🤔 Wish me luck!

thanks for this, it helped me figure out how to get sound for my TV again - my TVs speakers don't work - not sure why - so I'd been using pc speakers (connected them to the earphone out of the TV). this worked for a good while but I guess the earphone jack now has failed as well. So...I figured I could use the RCA output from the Charter cable box. Using your info I was able to manage this. Thank You.

Hey this was super helpful, especially for a girl (ok 52 year young gal, LOL) cuz we are trying to get speakers from RCA receiver to our TV which comes through computer. (No TV just computer so no antennae) but right now have computer to TV, and speakers are from receiver to computer. Very confusing but the receiver does nothing except give us access to the speakers. Maybe trying to get speakers to TV w/o using receiver.....anyway, that is how we found this video and we are new subscribers so thanks!! Kristy in Missouri :)

If you have two speakers and are trying to make them go into the one, aka monaural, you just need to combine the two positives and the two negatives from the two speakers and then join those with the rca or monaural

Could you plug the split RCA cable directly into the speaker? or do you HAVE to connect it to regular speaker wore? Basically, I Have VERY long RCA cables, could I use only them and bypass the speaker wire?

Not much into electronics so forgive me if that didn't make sense ha, hope it did though.
