If you get a down converter for a 12 volt system get one capable of 30A@12vdc. I got a 10A version and found that it would not honk my dual car horns. The converter does not really use a lot of the high voltage power but is there if you need for horns or high beams.
@JohnnyNerdOut Жыл бұрын
Ya I agree. The 10a can be junk in general.

Qsmotor. I actually just placed a large order with them to resale if interested I hey are listed on my website so you don’t have to wait 2-3 months.

Electro & co also sells kits or individual parts for different e-motos

Is there any resource where you can find straight forward instructions telling you exactly which parts you need and how you need to connect everything? I'm good with petrol bikes but I know nothing about ebikes and would like to build one as well.

It kinda looks like you could fit the motor in the triangle under the seat maybe? angles might be bad on the chain...

Only thing that confuses me is why the chainring is small and the sprocket on the wheel is large.. wouldn't it go faster if it was the other way around?
@JohnnyNerdOut5 ай бұрын
In theory it would have more top speed that way but less acceleration. But in reality if it was reversed, it would have NO acceleration and would probably overheat before hitting max speed ☹️

My son has a KTM 250 SX-F dirt bike and one of his buddies brought his 72-volt 3000-watt bike over that his dad built. As they were unloading it his dad told me that it was okay for my son to ride it but to please be sure he could handle the power. I said to hang around a minute, and I would get my sons bike out for his son to ride to do a comparison on power before he left. Needless to say, that after his son made a lap on my sons KTM that he told his dad to sell the electric toy and buy him a gas-powered bike.

Ya 3000 watt motor is like 4hp. 😂Not sure what your Ktm is putting out, but it’s safe to assume at least double

The 2024 KTM 250 SX-F has 42.8 horsepower (hp) and 19.8 pound-feet (lb.-ft.) of torque from its fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 250cc single-cylinder engine. What kind of motor and battery setup would you suggest I tell him to get for a rematch?
@JohnnyNerdOut7 ай бұрын
@@timothyallbritton1961 that’s pretty impressive out of a 250cc! He should get the qs motor 8000w mid drive and put 200a @72v. That would be a little over 20hp (16,000w) but would definitely be closer in performance. 3,000w is not enough for a motorcycle unless you have a gearbox. Even then it better be a lightweight frame.
@timothyallbritton19617 ай бұрын
