Thanks for the how-to! Here’s a quick tip for you. If you use the base of the round being loaded to depress the round beneath and then rotate the round up under and back of the feed lips, it’s much easier to load, especially as you get near the end.

I like your way of thinking about leaving the pin in there . I think that it rattling is the only way a average person will ever remember that it's in there. In another words if it doesn't rattle it will be forgotten and of no use . So let it rattle let in roll . Or take a very tight size drill bit & reinstall that pin in a visible but otherwise non consequential plastic area of the mag . So as to remember what it once was and can re become .

The magazine for my M&P 15-22 are sealed with an adhesive which makes it more difficult to remove the pin
@chicowize3 жыл бұрын
Hey brother I was researching & I think these magazines won’t work in other rifles like M&P 15-22 which sucks as I like those. I wish they wouldn’t use adhesive as I think every magazine will need a good cleaning eventually & the adhesive will make it more difficult for the end user to service. Hope all is well. Based on my experience shooting thousand of 22 lr . that magazine will not last long once the plastic feed lips is loose. I suggest you throw that mag and replace it with steel lips available already on the market.
@chicowize2 жыл бұрын
I shot over 20k rds of 22lr last year alone Bro. From several different platforms pistols to rifles. At $10 each the magazine it was a no brainer. This is a plinker & training gun. Malfunctions with any weapon makes great training drills. But I will say I do own a few of the Blackdog magazines with steel lips. So far my mags with plastic lips are still running good. Thanks for the video, doesn’t look hard at all. Do you think it would be advantageous to drill some small peep holes in the side to see ammo count or are these magazines already flimsy? I don’t want to mess with the structural integrity too much.
@chicowize2 жыл бұрын
That’s a great idea. A potential downside to that is getting dirt or other debris in the magazines once it hits the ground during a reload. I run my guns pretty hard & the magazines take abuse. But it could work. I own some of the black dog magazines that are translucent so that maybe a better option. Thanks for watching and commenting

That spring was a lot like the snake in a Pringles can prank! Do the CMMG .22LR conversions work well? I don’t have any experience with them or any of the .22LR AR style rifles like the Colt M4 .22LR or M&P 15-22. They look fun - I’ve wondered if they are a challenge to keep clean and running with a suppressor.
@chicowize3 жыл бұрын
It definitely was. I like they way the conversion kit works. I initially purchased it so Carter could get comfortable using AR platform rifles. Plus the ammo is very cheap compared to 556 ammo. When my suppressor gets out of jail I want to try it with this kit. Thanks for watching.

Any idea if the gen 2 magazines can be similarly converted? I live in a restricted state, but I would like to buy magazines that can be converted so that in the event that the ban gets struck down, or I leave the state, I can convert them to standard capacity. Gen 2 magazines are preferable because they have last round bolt hold open functionality, but I suppose I will settle for gen 1s if the gen 2 can't be converted.
