I'm about to go do the same with my dolly :)

There's no need to drill through the pipe. SImply get two 2x4 and sandwich them together with bolts and you are done. Good job tho!

Thanks for the tip, I should have thought about that.

I might be the smartest tool in the shed, if I do that wouldn’t the sandwich 2x4 just slip down ?
@reempire8887 ай бұрын
@@FurryFMthe lag bolts used to sandwich it will simply rest on top of the cross beam and it would definitely hold the weight of that motor.

@@reempire888 got it, I have a dolly myself so I’m thinking of doing this, my motor is a Suzuki 9.9.

@FurryFM those are nice motors. I couldn't get my hands on one during the pandemic. Instead I got a Mercury. Comes to find out certain Mercury motors are made in Japan and particular one was indeed made in Japan so I can't complain.

You made an easy job so difficult, Timber should be on reverse side of frame.
@ruvrandomusefulvideos3 жыл бұрын
I get your point but if I put the timber on the other side (front side), it will tip over because of the weight of the motor. The bottom plate is not wide or strong enough enough to support it. if its only 2hp it would be ok but thanks for the input though and also thanks for watching.
@thomasfrench72123 жыл бұрын
@@ruvrandomusefulvideos Try it you might be pleasantly surprised. you could only use the 2x4 piece of timber and therefore lower the engine and its centre of gravity.
