Converting Hexadecimal to Denary

Our teacher was explaining it in such a confusing way, we also apparently needed the 16 times tables. Her layout was so damn confusing and unclean that even the one guy who knew what to do got jumbled up. Therefore i thank you, this is much simpler than whatever the hell she was doing.

well she was probably teaching you the direct conversion method which is kind of difficult since you have to use divide the number with hexa's base being 16 But converting the hex number to binary and then denary like this person did is way easier.

Hello, I would love to help, Even though I am late, this might help. In a Hexadecimal Code/Script, the line will *ALWAYS* look like this. 4A 5E 6F 43 3B There will never be 3 digits. Hope it helped.

+Boti Bot Sorry I realise this isn't a very clear question, let me explain. A2C to Denary: Step 1: Convert to binary At this stage you get 12 digits which goes over 128 (8 digits) What now?

well, A2C in binary is 1010 0010 1100, so you just extend the powers of two for binary. they go for 12 digits, 2048 1024 512 256 128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1 so the answer is 4+ 8+32+512+2048 making it 2604.
