Excellent tutorial. Have you considered doing a similiar tutorial with the 'Waveshare RS485 to WIFI and Ethernet Converter"? I have a need for this device to convert from Modbus RTU and connect wirelessly to my WIFI network as Modbus TCP.

Thanks, much appreciated :) I assume you mean this one: amzn.eu/d/4q9Rpy3 I don't have one, but I think if you set it up as ETH first and then connect it to the SSID of the Wi-Fi it should work the same way?

One question about Modbus , did You try to read Coil status form some Modbus RTU device (FC01) in Loxone ?
@theautomationgymАй бұрын
@@zeljkovrkljan2416 Hi, yes and it does work just the command type changes for the input to read coil and it outputs just 1 or 0. Sometimes it can be an analogue register and it requires the information to go to a Binary Decoder

Hello, thank you for your informative video. After some time after this video, can you please suggest the best possible (and financially viable) setup for wireless ct clamp connection solution to inverter input. The goal is to achieve zero export conditions. I have Deye hybrid 3f inverter. Thank you.

You're welcome, the cheapest wireless CT Clamp would be something like a Shelly EM if you just need to monitor 1 or 2 circuits. The downside of it is it only updates the power draw info every 10 seconds.

how is the loxone server understand communication with this device, is it some kind of standard protocole so we can add this device from config as modbus server ? And can we threat this device worth 20$ equivalent to loxone modbus extention 250$? :O

All Miniserver models support Modbus TCP natively. I wouldn't necessarily replace the Modbus Extension if I have the possibility of wiring it as it's more reliable than LAN connection.
