Use to have a Prius before i lost it to a crash but me and my fiance have camped inside of one. It was a tight fit but car camping is beautiful.

Yes full time prius c..i removed both backseats(split/fold)..and put foam matress on passengerside as bed..I'm 5'9..it gives more headroom..push driverseat forward..can sit in driverside passenger seat to clean up..dress..read..eat..etc..hang a caddy on headrest to hold toiletries/mirror..put two plastic totes under head of mattress for clothing..supplies etc..on driverbackseat trunk area put a small thin book shelfplastic with drawers can face inward..JUST BE SURE TO NEVERFULLY BLOCK YOUR FAN THATS BEHIND DRIVERSEAT PASSENGER FOOT AREA...it cools your battery..i have more tips i will let know when i can tell more!🙂

I also have a Prius. About to move into it to live full time. I’m excited 😆 👍 🚗 I bought a trifold twin mattress and trimmed it a bit just so I don’t have to adjust my front seats.

I have a Prius C and have just gotten into car camping! My headrests are different, so I think we might have different model years (mine is 2014). When your rear seats are folded down, are they level with the trunk in your car? Mine are about 2" higher than the trunk, which ends up hurting my back. I'm curious if you had to plan around that too

Mine's a 2015. I also have that 2" difference but with the toddler mattress i don't feel it while sleeping so my back doesn't end up hurting! what are you currently sleeping on?

@@TristaBrianne just my old thermarest. Nothing as cushy as the mattress, but I'm so excited to get a mattress per your recommendation! Thanks for the tip about the Ikea mattress!

Ah, youth. In the early 80's I could sleep on the seat in my '66 Bronco. If I tried that now, the result wouldn't be sleep. Medical treatment possibly...

What year is your prius c? I own a 2016 c and wanted to convert mine too. I've also heard that since there is 2 batteries, that you can run the cars ac need be without the battery dieing. Is that true? Thanks 😄

I have a 2016 Prius C and I drive a few thousand miles a week as a courier so quite often I pull off the road and sleep in the car. If you leave the car idling you’re only going to burn about 1 gallon of gas every five or six hours so that’s what I would personally suggest. That being said, I’m trying to find a way to make the car a bit more comfortable because I am 6 foot tall and if I sleep more than a few hours I really feel it the next day.

solo female van life? i repeated it over a few times and i got all sad, you know guys can be useful to have along sometimes, even if it's to empty the toilet and stand guard, or are we out of fashion these days .I'm half heartedly prepping my van for some short trips and i'm a single older guy but i'll be damned if i'm setting off alone like a saddo, i'd sooner follow a complete stranger , i done enough motorcycle trips alone when i was younger , all good fun till some evenings sitting smoking outside my tent the loneliness was deafening
