Text instructions: - Install Msvbvm50.exe and Bruteforce Savedata - Open Bruteforce Savedata - Dismiss the Update pop-up - Click on the three dots and select the SAVEDATA folder of the USB with your saves - Right click on the save you want to convert and select "Decrypt all files" - When asked "Decrypt SECURE.BIN?", say yes - Close Bruteforce - When asked "Are you sure", say yes - Now go to your save's folder (NPUB31488_SYSTEM00 in this case) and delete "~files_decrypted_by_pfdtool.txt" and "PARAM.PFD" - Now go back and copy the whole folder (NPUB31488_SYSTEM00 in this case) to RPCS3_folder/dev_hdd0/home/00000001/savedata - Enjoy!

For anyone getting their saves marked red and says UNREADABLE keys on Bruteforce, it's because you haven't placed the save file on your desktop, you need to place the save file on your desktop FIRST then you can decrypt it. Worked for me on Army of Two.

@@descartes8544 The CLI tool comes bundled with the BruteForce program (in fact, Bruteforce is just a frontend for it) it's called: pfdtool Can't link it rn but will once I'm home. Bruteforce is kinda broken nowdays so I get why you'd want to use the CLI tool hahaha, some other alternatives include: - If you have access to a hacked PS3 you can use Apollo Save Tool - SaveResigner Lmk if you need anything else!

Not sure I'm following, this is to convert PS3 saves so the emulator can make use of them, so you first need to export the saves from a PS3 thus you'll end up with the saves you copied that time.

Huh, that's weird, for this you shouldn't need the ConsoleID, if you have an actual console you can use Apollo save tool to get the decrypted save data directly

@@AntoniusTertius Depends on what you want exactly, currently Bruteforce is kinda bugged because updates are broken, you can reinstall the program and use it without internet while you do the decryption. If just want transfers then Apollo might be easier, but you do need a softmoded PS3. Any others questions? :P

This didn't work for me with Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition in Devil May Cry HD Collection (BLUS30764-DMC3SE). When I get into the game, it says that the save data is corrupted. Not sure if that's something specific to the game or not, but that doesn't happen with the default save data that it creates upon opening the game for the first time.

The inverse process would need a save from the PS3, as RPCS3 doesn't generate some files, but largely would be the inverse process as the one depicted in the video. I've had a video about that on hold for the longest time now, perhaps I get time to upload it soon.

Hey Boss, need some pointers here. When I get to the point where I have to choose the file to decrypt, I go to RPCS3>devhdd_00>home>savedata and I can see the savedata for all of my games, but I can’t decrypt them. Yes, this works :) Don't get too worried about files, every save should have a param.pso, param.psb and 1 or 2 .png's, other than those the actual files of the save vary from game to game.

Depends a little on the game and whether or not Bruteforce wants to work. Some games need work in order to convert saves between regions (due to the actual data in the save being different) we'd need to test in order to reach an conclusion.

Yeah, the app got kinda buggy now that the update server died, if you have a "Bruteforce" option use that first and then it should have the decrypt option. Otherwise try the workaround of uninstalling and reinstalling the app without internet (you must use it without internet) after everything's done you can re-connect.

Yes and no, you'll need to specify you PS3 account in bruteforce first, after that you can just follow the steps in reverse.

@@gedoreperson878 Actually, if you don't want to lock the save to your PS3 account you can just copy the "~files_decrypted_by_pfdtool.txt" and "PARAM.PFD" files from a recently decrypted save (of the same game) and paste them in the folder of the RPCS3 save you want to encrypt, then open the save in bruteforce and do: right click>unlock save to work with any PS3 and then: right click>encrypt save If it's confusing in text I can try to make another short video.

Huh, there seems to be a breaking change in bruteforce, we have some options: 1 Reinstall bruteforce and do the process without internet 2 Reinstall bruteforce and make games.conf read-only 3 Ditch the GUI and use the cmd version (maybe tutorial?) I don't think it'll be fixed for now (it's been 3 months) so I need to update this

I need help, BAD 😭 I've tried damn near every method under the sun to try and get this to work for save files I had for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 remix on the ps3. Didn't have the system anymore but luckily I had the savedata put onto a usb. But now when I try to load my any of my saves, especially my main 80hr+ save, the game freezes. Each and every time. And I'm honestly at a loss at this point, and I've spent the entire day trying to solve this issue getting nowhere and I just wanna beat the game because I was 100%-ing it and I'm at the literal last part of the damn game, but nowhere and no one has answers, its honestly frustrating. I just wanna be able to move onto the next games and stuff since I just got the other remixes and KH3 on ps5 without having to grind out the first one all over again. So anyone have any Ideas?

Sounds like a weird problem, maybe data corruption perhaps, as it is such particular problem you would need to compare save files and see if you can figure why it's broken. There's actually a KH save editor, you could try to load the save in it, or at the very least see if shows an useful error message, no much I can do just with the gist of the problem, but hope you haven't given up on it (and sorry for the late response e.e)

I'm using a save game downloaded from GameFAQs for Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2. I can decrypt it just fine, but even after multiple attempts (leaving it decrypted like in the video, encrypting it with the "use on all accounts" option, manually adding my RPCS3 account info into the file, etc.) the game still freezes when I select the save data. The region is the same, and even in cases where the account is the same, the freeze still occurs. I feel like I've run out of things to try haha Any help would be very much appreciated.

It's good to be sceptical of unknown files from the internet, but *in this particular case* it's just your antivirus overreacting, you could ignire the warning, or research the command line version of this app

They were just making everyone's life harder, I guess. You can try opening the program as administrator and see if it gets out of the dumb state, or try using Apollo-ps3 if you have a jailbroken PS3, should be simpler and everything will be done from the console itself. You could *also* use the command line interface Bruteforce uses internally, but it's less intuitive.

Changing regions is harder, as some games do have different save data in different regions, I have had some success in converting some saves but it's not always an easy process

Kinda depends, some games really don't like having extra files in the save folder, your save could also be missmatched (like different region game and save)

You probably have the regions mismatched, meaning that the game on your PS3 might be from USA and the one on RPCS3 is from Europe (or vice versa). If you have a save of the game in RPCS3 (i.e you started the game and saved) you can check with RPCS3's save manager if you have two saves for the game and check the respective regions. But it would depend, which game is it?

You might need to click on an option called "Bruteforce key" (or similar) first before you can decrypt games, this tool hasn't been updated to have the keys of the latest games (say for example, Persona 5) but you can always Bruteforce the key anyway

@@marv4996 Sorry, it was "Bruteforce" (shortcut key F6). I can decrypt Skate 3 saves just fine so you having issues is weird. Does the save folder have a .PFD file? If you wish, yu could also link me the files so I can test them

hey so I did your method, took me a while but it works. I play Disgaea d2 and I can only autosave. If I decide to manually save or load on my converted save file the game crashes. What do I do to fix this. Update: nvm it was a dlc issue, thank you for this method btw!

You need to unlock the save (it's an option in the drop-down menu) in order for it to be able to be imported to the PS3. Alternatively, you need to copy your userID and console ID to the save and re-sign, depends on what's going wrong

@@ederbarrero5585 I was trying it with God of War ascension. Yes same region, game just shows a corrupted file error. However i found a different video that shows a few steps that you didn't take and using said video i managed to get the saves to work. Just decrypting the files isn't enough, there are other steps you have to take to get them to work on the emulator

@@ederbarrero5585 Basically the steps are as follow: Decrypt Select open save to run on any ps3 Encrypt Rebuild(full) Decrypt Update PFD(full) Verify PFD I've done these steps for a whole bunch of saves now and this is how it works for me

@@Ashurman666 Oh, those first steps look like the ones for resigning saves for actual hardware (not counting the decryption), probably some recent changes made this mandatory (like actual account verification) if you couldn't get it to work otherwise, because I could get saves to work just by decryption in the 20 or so games I tested. Huh, that's new, some (very few) games don't need their saves to be decrypted, for these games the program should show "Unencrypted" in the list, if this is not the case can you share the game ID you are trying to transfer?

​@@kyjoseph32 Don't worry, - First: make sure you are opening the program as admin (sometimes it locks up when opened normally) - Second: Check the status bar at the bottom, it should have the following bit in it "7811 Decryptable titles in DB", if it says some low number (like 2 or 10) then the program bugged, and you might need to reinstall - Third: try the decryption steps again, it should let you, also, you might want to right click the save and click on "Unlock to use with Any PS3 account" If you still don't suceed, here's the save I decrypted: drive.google.com/file/d/1RWwAbguVLK5tU3H1F5QPkOuAa4_2E4TV/view?usp=sharing I'll check around for a PS3 and update this tutorial with a workaround for the bad updater the program has :/

Yes, it is. It's mostly the same process: - Get a save from PS3 (same game) - Decrypt it with Bruteforce - replace the files from RPCS3 save into PS3 save - Re-encrypt save - Import back to PS3 I'd love to update this video with a PS3 capture and reimporting from RPCS3 step, but I don't have access to the PS3 right now :/ (If you know someone willing to record their PS3 then by all means XD)

It's working, I do concede that I showed no proof and it makes the tutorial less trustworthy as a result, but I made this for a friend (and it of course worked for him) so I didn't see much point in refining it.
