I've had riders asked if I had business cards because they wanted a reliable driver with a nice clean car. Even when I offer a ride cheaper than what Uber fleeces them with, sometimes riders refuse and want to go through the app. Then I cancel afterwards and have them find another driver, if they don't want to pay me cash or use Venmo. They rather pay Uber more and let the driver get 35-45% after Uber's service fees. I sometimes ask when rides are less than $6 or when they are going to the airport or baseball game.

I hope they are listening to me! The profanities I yell at both apps when they send me pigeon runs, is good feedback for them! I routinely tell them out loud to "do better" and "I am not accepting this garbage"! I use the future method with great success! I do the ride on the app and then convert them to future clients on my own platform. However, if you try to convert a ride (which I advise against) you have to cancel the trip if you pitch the passenger and they say no! Leave them standing at the curb waiting for the next driver! You can’t change your mind and take them anyway! This is the quickest way to get deactivated!

@amamdawhatever exactly and it works great especially offering for half the price of the apps...(I live in a small town and ppl are getting "butt raped" here, especially during frontier days going on right now. Charging 100 bucks for less than 3miles! It's complete bs what they are doing!🤬

If Uber's algorithm sees that a passenger cancelled a ride and then a bit later you go back online close to the passenger's supposed dropoff, that's a red flag. If this becomes a pattern you're screwed.

I dont know IOS but in Android, go to settings of the app and from Permissions turn off Locations Uber Driver and Uber Rider apps..They cant catch you..Even if u feel u have a good relationship with that cash rider,tell to them just turn off GPS...You can use Google Map,Waze or whatever

It's the phone permission! I always turn off the phone permission after I call the passenger. Once you accept the app to use your phone to call the passenger, it allows the app to access your microphone. The microphone is required to call or accept calls. Always turn off uber & lyft application's permission to phone app.

I see professor’s point. However since we are independent contractors there is absolutely no binding contract between a driver and Uber/lift. You can cancel a ride for any reason at any time.

You have to let the pax know that they are giving you money for the pizza but NOT for the ride from the beginning as a token of friendship appreciation. So you take the cash upfront for the pizza BEFORE the ride happens, that's for your pizza isn't it. Since you become his friend that day, you're giving them a help to drive them to their destination (acting as their new friends) out of your good heart in the mid of your busy schedule, and you even will drive them to extra destination free as long as it's a reasonable distance. Payment for the ride is AFTER the pax arrived at the destination, just like you pay the taxi cab. Payment for your pizza is a gift you get before you drive them to their destination.

I drove last night (Friday) In Phoenix. I noticed for the first time that I got a notification on 2 of the rides saying something like " The passenger may record this ride for safety" or something like that. The passenger didn't say anything to me about recording. I believe this message popped up after the passenger was in the car and I swiped to start the trip. I did think that I don't remember seeing this pop up on my phone before. So that might be how they listen in. By hijacking your phone.

Some drivers are stupid. They know this kind of behavior because they track both GPS(driver and rider). If the driver accepts a trip when he/she arrives to pick spot and a cancellation occurs if they check both GPS and the tracking information is the same from rider and driver they infer driver took their passenger out of the platform. If someone want do that you and the riders have to close completely the Uber or Lyft app and the rider turns off their gps.

Your method requires money to set up. And often people start with a $1700 per month Uber partnered car rental. It's not possible to make your payments doing Uber without first converting to cash trips. Your way works for the future rides. But not those first 6 months

Incorrect. My method is solid and sold over 5,000 times to date. In the first six months you are doing about 95% Uber and Lyft, 5% private. After two years you are on about 50% Uber and Lyft, 50% private. You are starting off incorrectly and not getting forward, plus if you aggressively convert riders to cash , not playing it safe, you can kiss your Uber and Lyft accounts goodbye and you are done. I would not bet five cents on your formula

You should make a video educating riders that by making complaints could led to drivers loss. There could be driver's who depend on rideshare for there Daily living and have no other options to earn. Families of rideshare are dependent on what drivers are earning. And sudden deactivation or suspension could devastate whole family. Could stop everyday food/expenses coming to table.

If you do not have a tcp license with commercial insurance at minimum. what you are doing is completely illegal. If you ever get in a serious accident with an off book passenger without commercial insurance or a tcp license and the passenger was injured in any way you will get civilly sued, possibly prosecuted by the state for operating an illegal business, and your drivers license suspended or revoked.

I use square on all of my future rides! In fact I mounted my Square reader to the back of the front passenger seat. Keep in mind, I have an LLC, city permits and commercial insurance. This allows corporate clients to expense my rides which is VERY important for them!

I like Jeff and I know the passenger conversion method is his way but that way is highly unsustainable and you'll more than likely be deactivated before u build up enough private rides.
