Conveyco (Pty) Ltd had the pleasure of installing our conveyor systems at DSV's logistics facility in Cape Town. This 50 000m² distribution facility brings Road, Air & Sea, Solutions and Healthcare together under one roof.
Our conveyor systems allow for gentle high-speed sorting of parcels thus increasing the hubs overall efficiency.
The Scan Weigh and Dimensioner (SWAD) incorporates a double scale which runs at 2.9m/s and is able to handle up to 6,000 parcels per hour with the largest parcel being 1.2m long x 0.8m wide x 0.8m high. The SWAD scans all 5 sides of the cartons to locate the barcode used for sorting.
The Sliding Shoe Sorter was supplied by our partner Houngfuh and installed by Conveyco. The sorter spurs and chutes where built and installed by us.
Conveyco built and installed the all the receiving telescopic conveyors, infeed conveyors, outfeed conveyors & recirculating loop etc.
