I like the convoy dynamic. Adds value to the boats. Adds another layer to the game play.

Just started this week. Although I'm a solo player your video was clear and I now understand perfectly how convoy works.

Have you ever heard anyone make the argument that the Allies can never inflict Convoy damage on original Italian or German territories (presumably because they do not require ocean-going supply lines)? The reason I wonder about this is because there are no Convoy markers on seazones 126, 112, 113, 95, 96 and 76 (these are the out-of-box seazone numbers). I would argue that seazone 125 only applies against Russia. Seazones 105 and 93 only apply to a liberated France or if the Allies control Normandy or Southern France. And seazone 97 could have been meant to apply only against an Allied-controlled Yugoslavia or Greece -- otherwise why does 95 not have Convoy marker, particularly since Sardinia and Sicily are there? Furthermore, the three seazones that do make sense to allow Convoy damage against Germany and Italy would be 112, 113 and 96, because Norway and Libya and Tobruk would require ocean-going supply lines. Thank you, Young Grasshopper, for this video (it helped me a lot) and especially for all of your contributions to the Axis & Allies community. EDIT: this isn't really a big deal because I don't think it will have any material economic effect one way or the other but it does seem curious to me and I do wonder if it was Larry Harris's original intent but just not made clear in the rules, probably because it unnecessarily makes an already extremely complicated game even more complicated.

I was reading my Pacific rulebook and it stated that in SZ 6 that Japan could not lose more than 8 IPCs. So I do not know if you would be able to include Korea into that SZ attack taking 11 IPCs away. The other reason I say that is because in the rulebook it states that Japan cannot lose more than 8 IPCs from SZ 19. SZ 19 adds up to 10 IPC in total when you add up all the adjacent territories up together. I wonder if you cannot lose more than your capital countries IPC value. Its kind of confusing.

“Confusing" has always been the most popular term used for these rule books.

It may mean if only Japan was controlled, Manchurian maybe not under Japanese control, kind of a dependent statement
