Those metal button really do increase the coolness factor of the light. I would find the LED switches very useful when finding the flashlight in dark places. Hopefully the battery drain is not much. THanks for sharing!

The RGB behavior is so good. Colours are beautiful and the speed is just all right and smooth. Definitely going to add one to my S2+.

They are much classier with the metal switches. Like you say they feel much nicer to use. My only slight gripe is they can make it tricky to tail stand the lights (adding magnet rings looks to solve this though). As an option it would be great if they could make slightly shorter ones without the clear plastic for illuminating the switch.

Those are nice! I've only got one Convoy myself but plan on getting more and when I do I think I'll get some of those switches. It would be nice having a collection of spare parts and I imagine the switches would be the most likely part to eventually fail.

The RGB metal switch gives it a premium look. I did try to polish mine to remove as much matte as possible and it looked like glass which looks more premium now. Lol.

@@smotheredchrome It's easier to find them during blackouts. I honestly prefer this over the aux LEDs on the head side. Most people will place their lights with the head facing down especially throwers which will cover the aux.

I know the piece you are talking about that you said has to be screwed together better, thanks I will definitely open my lights back up and fix that. I am still switching some of them to the clear rubber caps though, just because I tail stand certain lights sometimes and it doesn’t work with the stainless steel switches. I was wondering if anything could be sanded down to lower the switches so they can tail stand, I’ll look at them better when I open them up again to tighten down that part. The silver L21A really does look great with the stainless switch.

If you put this switch in the S2+ it won't tail stand anymore. Plus no way to lockout so you will get drain. How much I'm not sure since I just got it but I'm going to test.

Does it also eliminate tailstanding on the S21D ? Would be a shame as it's my only light that I actually tail stand. Also I love your enthusiasm for lights! Simon should give you an affiliate link for Convoy, you re always singing their praises and have helped me decide on new lights from Convoy.

I just installed the metal switch with green LED in my C8+. I do wish the LED in the switch would time out though.

@@smotheredchrome Thanks’ SC, yesterday when I initially tried loosening the tail cap to disengage the switch/LED, it seemed that I had to loosen it too far. Today is a different story, I loosened the tail cap and now I am getting the desired result. I do much prefer the feel and appearance of the metal switch. Because I like to keep batteries in my lights so they are always ready to go with no fumbling, I might try the metal button with the original switch in my L21B. Also, I now have an excuse to buy a good pair of 90 ° snap ring pliers.

These upgraded tail switches indeed are nice 👍 Since getting the FC13, which I find is an excellent feature to have for any light. Btw, does the convoy’s be made to show the state of charge of battery like the FC13? Cheers.

Yes it rotates so you will get purple aqua and so on.

I finally got my colored switches. On the metal one. I don't see blue. Only red, green, orange. Is something wrong?

@@smotheredchrome I contacted Convoy and they said if the battery is low it might be dim but I'm not getting aqua either and it stays on red for a long time. I'll try again with a full battery when I get home from work.

Honestly it sounds like the blue aux isn't working in the rgb, I would just request a refund and order another one.

@@smotheredchrome I fully charged it and I can see blue and purple now but the blue is only in a small area and it's like 1/2 second but the green lasts a long time. Yeah I will probably just get a refund and order more.

I'm slowly checking all mine, it seems after it goes through its rotation a few times then it switches to 2 colors on opposite sides, which is nice.
