Thank you for the review and comparison and for taking time for those 'cool' beamshots❄️☃️. I have M21d, xhp70.2 6500k, it is throwy, i put a plastic film outside the lens that i sanded lightly with 1500grit sandpaper; now my m21d is floodier. These convoy flashlights are meant to be workhorse. even with these 'amp hungry' xhp70, their driver is quiet good. Its nice to have long term 400 lumens of illumination, and an occasional blast of 1400 or 3800 lumens when needed. And thank you again Richard🙏🏽 staywarm#

I am glad you like content I am making, if you want something specific in my reviews, let me know. I am trying to give as much information as possible. Don't forget that after you sanded plastic on top, you loose some lumens :) Can you please tell me if your M21D has lag before switching modes like I showed in this review or it reacts fast like 4x18a?

@@FlashlightTech Sorry just revisit your vid :) Yes, My m21d does that in the stepped mode. but nothing to worry about, changing mode took 1 second, that still ok for me. What i notice, if you change group while the fl is on; then you have some action of the brightness ramps in small increments to get to the level in the new group, and in the ramp mode; if you hit turbo midway the ramp, and you want to ramp down; it will first ramp up to max (2 blink), then you can ramp down. Yes, the firmware is still on development i guess. On that part i still prefer Sofirn's ui. But in general, Convoy quality is very good and useful to the masses.

I bought two Convoy M21D because they used the 21700 cell, and the c charging (installed an OP bezel in one), and also have the M3c w/26800 extension & battery and also installed a SS bezel, for more bling! The M21D has a bit better throw, and the M3c is a bit floodier. Given a choice, I'd take the M3c, as it's chunkier and fits my hand better! Both are setup for turbo "tactical". Now, do you prefer the side button, or the rear button like on the M26c & S11? I lean more to the rear button, since I too prefer only using "tactical" turbo.

As for me, I prefer side button like 60/40. But I am ok with both. What I don’t like is when there are 2 buttons, one back for turn off/on, other for modes. I don’t like that because it is hard to use it onehanded.
